Steelseries Sensei/Xai (Has acceleration issues, I put it over G500 or G9x though due to low weight and preferable ergonomics)
They're non existent at high sensitivity, unlike the G500 on the same surface where there is very obvious acceleration The xai is seriously good at accurate and absolute movement - I actually prefer it over my wacom tablet for osu because it's just as accurate but far far less input lag
(P.S. Logitech Laser sensors have acceleration issues that can't be fixed through software)
I like acceleration. [SUB]Don't shoot me.[/SUB]
I like acceleration. [SUB]Don't shoot me.[/SUB]
Acceleration is fine with me as long as it is easily controllable by the user (aka through software). Hell, if you look at the mouse settings of professional Quake players, some of them like to use acceleration. The problem is that there is intrinsic acceleration in those laser sensors that can't be removed through software.
I guess it all rolls down to what you use the mouse for, I only play games occasionally and even when I do, I don't really play any FPS games. I also like a low sensitivity, without acceleration it becomes hell trying to cross a screen let alone two.
You can still try it, from what I've heard, they often send you a new one and don't even try to collect the old one.
I can vouch for this, the spacebar on my G19 keyboard (Won in contest, would never pay that much for a keyboard :v:) broke and I asked Logitech if there was an easy way to fix the damn thing. They sent me an entirely new one despite me telling them it was won in a contest. Logitech are bros.
I'm left handed I use a right handed mouse, i guess though the same time i was learning left and right i was also using a mouse early too.
I'm left handed I use a right handed mouse, i guess though the same time i was learning left and right i was also using a mouse early too.
Same here, I'm a lefty that uses a right-handed mouse. Though I just bought a Steelseries Kana that I really like; it's my first "gaming" mouse. So far it's enjoyable, the two side buttons are a lot more sensitive than the Logitech I had so that will take some getting used to. Overall though it's a good mouse, the DPI Profile Button is pretty awesome, and it moves smoothly compared to my worn out Logitech. It was getting so bad that the feet were worn down so much it made accurate movement almost impossible.
Still rockin the ASUS Republic of Gamers mouse It comes free with a Laptop apparently bought I bought it seperate from Ebay It's a great mouse
I saw someone talking about mousepads in the first pages of the thread and I'd like to draw some attention to it again. Lot of people are saying that it doesn't matter at all whether you buy a 5$ or a 40$ mousepad, but thay are usually without any experience. I bought a Razor mousepad with about 10-15euros I think, it is made of fabric and the moment I placed my Logitech G9x there and moved it, I got an orgasm. never felt such godlike feeling with a mouse, not even in underground gaming pubs. The mouse slided on it exactly like on an air hockey table, no friction whatsoever. So I definetly recommend expensive mousepads as long as they're not overpriced, which Razer one's are not. 1 year has passed and my mousepad is full of stains and the edges have threads coming out, shame really, i'm in love with this pad. So if you're buying a fabric mousepad, take care of it or it will wear out.
I love my Razer Deathadder
I love my Razer Deathadder
That's funny because nobody else does.
That's funny because nobody else does.
i have a razer TRON mouse [sp]i'm RMAing it because it's trash[/sp]
i have a razer TRON mouse [sp]i'm RMAing it because it's trash[/sp]
I had an Abyssus for about 2 months and the left click button was stupidly hard to click afterwards. The annoying thing is my G9X is doing the exact same thing on the right click button.
Used my friend's RAT, whilst it looks a little ricey it's quite a nice mouse and felt like it wasn't 'chained' to put it one way. Then again, I've been using a shitty £4 laptop mouse for gaming. Should really upgrade.
Can't wait for the Ninox Aurora http://www.esreality.com/post/2246615/re-new-gaming-mouse-development
I'm currently using G300 because I wanted to buy something fairly cheap, fancy and useful. Though it's one of the most expensive mice in town, if not the most expensive one. I'm happy with it, though I don't like two things: the fact that the silver paint gets wiped fairly quickly and it's slightly darker on the places where my hand and fingers lie, and the very loud scroll button. But still, it has pretty much everything that I want from a mouse. It's quite small, rubber parts provide good grip, and it has multiple profiles with programmable buttons, so for instance playing Europa Universalis 3 is a lot more comfortable than on standard 3-buttoned mouses I used to use for about 9 years. And now almost every other mouse feels bulky and uncomfortable for me. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] Also this turned out to be my 6000th post.
I'm using this bad boy It's surprisingly comfortable [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] it's like an inch and a quarter tall
Bought the G9x mouse and I love it. I typically play games at 3000 DPI because I like really high sensitivity. The in-game adjustable sensitivity is amazing and the keys at the side are convenient. Highly recommend it.

NEVER AGAIN. Seriously, the mouse is in your hand one minute, then hanging from the USB port of the back of your PC.
are those RATS good?
This is amazingly late but whatever... The RAT's are an awesome mouse because you can glove that shit to your hand so well but the software is fucking awful. Take a pass on it just because the software is so God damn bad. Logitech G400 for life. I used to hate Logitech gear but they redid their software and it just works so well now. I don't know what monkey's they fired but they did and I've had zero trouble with their new stuff.
Any thoughts on the g700? I've been looking at the RAT9, but apparently it got discontinued.
Any thoughts on the g700? I've been looking at the RAT9, but apparently it got discontinued.
I've heard not that favorable things about it because it's button placement is weird, especially since that sensitivity button is always sitting right under your finger. Go for the 400 or 500 imo (500 if you prefer laser over optical and want a few more buttons).
Go for the 400 or 500 imo (500 if you prefer laser over optical and want a few more buttons).
Or go for plenty of other mice that have been recommended in this thread, no need to exclude Microsoft, Razer, or Steelseries. Also go with optical over laser.
Any thoughts on the g700? I've been looking at the RAT9, but apparently it got discontinued.
The G700 is the best wireless mouse atm.
Or go for plenty of other mice that have been recommended in this thread, no need to exclude Microsoft, Razer, or Steelseries. Never used Steelseries but I know their keyboards are great so I'm not going to discourage someone from buying one.

[editline]16th August 2012[/editline] I currently have a MX Revolution, but they discontinued that, and I don't like its replacement, and the G700 seems to fit my needs pretty perfectly.
I don't know if anyone's posted this bad boy, but this thing is by far the best budget mouse. You can get them for literally £5 or less, and they will last you a lifetime.
