I don't understand this. Could you go into more detail, maybe post a few articles?
http://logitech.lithium.com/t5/G-series-Gaming-Mice/g400-angle-snapping-mouse-prediction-removed/td-p/763727 Look at the posts from Logitech support in that thread. I don't know anymore than what's in that thread so if you want to find more info on it, use Google.
Can't wait until MX518s become so cheap you can get 2 for 20 bucks so I can buy like 10 MX518s Durable little fuckers
lol the price on them is only going to go up, not down they're limited now, go look at G5 prices
I came in here and found all this shit about "professional gaming mice" and what grips = what control. I just want a durable, sexy mouse with two side buttons, no neon stuff(Razer) built for a larger hand/palm grip. I'm a pretty casual gamer nowadays, I play mostly indie games so go easy on the "gaming features".

I have never liked Razer peripherals, nothing major against them(except the lycosa god damn) just not to my taste.

Only thing to keep in mind, you need to change the polling rate for your mouse in Windows if you plan on using any of the Microsoft three (WMO/IMO1.1/IMO3.0) because the default is 125 hz which has 8 ms response time and worse tracking than say 500 hz which has 2 ms response time or 1000 hz which has 1 ms.
Xai/Sensei Raw/Sensei.

Just a joke, but can I spam this thread with 100 pics of mice and my links to amazon products using my affiliate ID? I understand this thread should be informative, being the gamer that I am, but it's somewhat ridiculous to get other people rich... On the note, I own an old X7 A4tech Mouse, and it's macro functionality/editing software rules hard. And it even survived a couple of room throws without stuff falling out of it :P
Think I'll get one of these, problem is I cant find one anywhere. Not even eBay. A4tech N-70FX
DeathAdder 3500 DPI FTW. I've used it heavily for 2 years with no problems, and I would buy it again.
Deathadder's and Blackwidow's appear to be the only Razer peripherals that aren't made of tissue paper. I've dropped my Deathadder so many times and it still works fine. Most people say that the Blackwidow is just a well made as the Deathadder though I haven't tried one to confirm it.

Whats so bad about them? Any suggestions then?
Cheap asian made budget crap that'll break in a few weeks is what Also, Sensei/Xai or Sensei Raw if you can wait for it. They're seriously good, and unless you play at 400-800dpi then you'll have no issues. Hell even Na`Vi.Markeloff plays at 400dpi and doesn't have a problem with it.
Just bought a Logitech M115. Tesco have a year-long "if it breaks we'll give you dosh" thing so if it breaks well yeah. But yeah, It's just a 3-button mouse, I've never used anything with over that, And it was cheap so.
I bought a G700, thought it might just be a gimmicky thing but I was wrong. It's so comfortable. [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] Question, what is angle snapping?
http://defragdev.com/blog/?tag=angle-snapping do people know google exists [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] why would you think a g700 would be gimmicky it's a fine mouse and probably the best wireless atm
awesome, thanks!
Take a look around too though. I'd also recommend trying a friend's if you can with the rat mice as they either suit you perfectly, or are completely unusable.

If you don't care about them, I'd recommend either the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical or the Razer Abyssus. Both are very light, good for fingertip gripping, and cheap. However, if you consider the Abyssus, you may want to read up on the models. The earlier models have a jitter problem (later models do too but much less), and it also depends on the mousepad that you use (so if you're unsure about your mousepad and don't want to spend extra money on a new one, I'd go with the WMO). If you care about side buttons, I'd recommend the Intellimouse 1.1, Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, Razer Deathadder, or Logitech G400, although I don't believe that these are quite as good for finger-tip grip as the WMO or Abyssus (depends on your hand size as well, Odellus a few pages back said that he likes finger-tip grip on the Deathadder while others only use palm for it).
Cheap asian made budget crap that'll break in a few weeks is what
Cheap, yes. Asian made? Probably asian/russian. Budget, yes. Crap, debateable. That'll break in a few weeks, Not really. Mine has been lasting for 2+ years now just fine.

But yeah that's coming from a person who fell in love with the ikari (white, even though it was giant) and then went on to the Xai.

They are actually built tough and durable. Their laser sensor is not so great, but it does feel sturdy.
