I own this:

I seem to remember it's not really a proper product, more something they throw in with the other stuff when you buy bundles (I think)
But either way it's a great mouse, it was really cheap from amazon and has all a mouse really needs apart from right and left click and a scroll wheel, a DPI button and forward/back buttons
Holy shit, ordered
Hopefully I can get away without any boot issues - still on a non UEFI board so pretty good chances
Disabling USB booting should fix it if you get it.

I got one with my laptop. It has insanely huge liftoff distance, and huge acceleration as well (aka not good).
I'd get a new one if I were you (a good cheap optical one), but you do whatever you want I guess.
anyone have any idea how long the steelseries Xai will stay £25 on amazon? i really want to get one but i can't get the money immediately.
Disabling USB booting should fix it if you get it.
Seems I didn't get the issue, also the Xai is amazing - much less positive acceleration than the G500, I'm pulling off series of jumps in osu that I couldn't have even begun to do before
Is the RAT 9 worth it? I'm seriously considering it.
Is the RAT 9 worth it? I'm seriously considering it.
Only if you need the wireless, otherwise RAT3/5 are far better value.
I highly recommend the g700 if you want wireless.
I got the gigabyte m6900 and its pretty good
The mouse itself feels alright, button placement is actually comfortable
My mouse (Microsoft sidewinder X8) feels gittery, as if the signal is weak, except it can't be unless it's dying, could it be dying or is there something i can do, it's very hard to play anything like it.
Or if i absolutely must get a new mouse what brand is to go for.
Try moving the receiver closer or changing the batteries.
It's physically impossible to get it closer to the receiver and it's not the batteries, starting to feel like i should find a good mice make.
Usb extension cables exist.

Same thing started happening to my sidewinder X8, I eventually figured out it was due to my wireless router thing just below my desk messing with the signal. I moved the router thing away and everything was fine.
it's one of these by the way:

The liftoff distance is quite large, but I'm adjusted to it and I kinda like it

Yeah, I found out that it was my computers wireless affecting the mouse so I moved the pc back and it's perfect.
nice one :)
anyone else have the g700?
best mouse in the world (at least perfect for me).
anything I can use to make the g700 better?

yeah but with setpoint I can set macros already
plus, fraps = mouse button screenshot

It is a great mouse but I don't think there are any ways to improve it.

It gives me the right amount of buttons and is very comfy for me. Not only that, but has very easy to use macros.
not stating as 'fact'
80% of the people in this thread are saying a mouse is 'good'/'great' if it's comfy for them and has buttons.
Yeah lets ignore the sensor and build quality, right?
The G700 has great build quality. It aught to at the price it's sold at.
I haven't had any problems with the sensor.

Apparently the G700 has slight tracking problems when you move it really unrealistically fast.
Some users report sticking issues with tiny movements when in wireless mode.
This is literally all I could find on the sensor.
For build quality, it has some flaking issues.
And some sparse scroll wheel issues.
The only real problems I could find, build quality wise.
I'm using a G5 right now. The drivers are absolutely terrible and crash to default whenever I try to change the sensitivity ingame. I tried their support, but they just tell me to do the things that I have already done. It's essentially unfixable and the only way that I'm going to get something new soon. My desk is pretty close to the keyboard tray, so I wouldn't want the mouse to be any taller. Requirements for the mouse include: Ingame adjustable DPI, back and forward buttons (More if possible) and has drivers that aren't as bad as the G5's. I would rather avoid Logitech on mice entirely after this, because I bet the problem will carry over because of the similar drivers.

Plenty of great mice to choose from when a person finally realizes that Logitech isn't the end-all like so many in FP who always rave about the MX518/G400/G5/G500/etc. (not saying you were one of these people, but FP does tend to have them.
Things to consider when looking for a new mouse would be your grip type and how badly you need side-buttons for gaming (there are way too many people who think they need those side-buttons so badly when in reality they could easily use a keyboard key in the game. Yeah going forward/backward in a browser can be useful, but you can use the Smooth Gestures app for Chrome if you want that functionality without sidebuttons). After you know those things, just pick from the top-selected mice that we've been going over for 6 pages, those generally being the WMO, IMO 1.1, IME 3.0, Abyssus, Deathadder, and G400 (yeah I poked fun at Logitech but the G400 is the best mouse they offer in my opinion, although I don't like the ergonomics).
I went from a G5 to a 3.5G deathadder. The deathadder is better in every way, especially the sensor and how responsive it feels. There's no in-game adjustable dpi, but you can assign a button to 'on-the-fly sensitivity' which should accomplish the same thing. You'll have to give up the one of the buttons though.....
only thing I'm missing from g5 to da is on the fly dpi switching
forced to use 450 dpi in everything because there's no way I'm using anything higher for desktop use
