So I've narrowed down my choices for the 980 TI cards to these two.
The EVGA one is moderately more expensive (and I'm going for SLI to it'll be two of those cards), but it's water-cooled, but is it worth it over the MSI one? Are there any benchmarks of the two cards, because I can't seem to find any.
I have that EVGA 980Ti, and it's just awesome. The temps on it stay cool all the time, but there is one other thing you're gonna want to look at, and that's a CPU liquid cooler.
It works fine without a cpu liquid cooler, don't get me wrong here. But an air cooler on your CPU basically dumps hot air inside the case, which gets pushed through the gpu radiator. By installing an AIO liquid cooler, you're pushing ALL of the heat outside of the case, meaning that any air going over your rads are room temp instead of the temp of the hottest component inside of your case. This means overall lower temps for your cpu and gpu.
The rig I plan on building is this one, which does include a liquid CPU cooler (knowing that an i7 is going to need it). Since I posted the supposed build, is there anything I should change about it? Price isn't really a problem, but if I could replace a part with a similarly functioning one for less, that's ideal.

The case. Where are you planning on fitting both the GPU radiators and still having hard drive cages? Not the front.

If the air pushed out by your cpu is goin out through your GPU then you are doing something wrong.
Generally you only want a liquid cooler if you are really motivated to get a massive overclock. For everything else a 25$ hyper 212 air cooler is more than enough.

Will a Storm Stryker be a better alternative that'll work?

I'd recommend something like the Corsair 750D to ensure you've got the clearance and proper slots. I'm not sure how long the tubes are on the hybrid.
Need some help, might buy my PC soon and am looking for a cheaper case than a Fractal R5.
Possibly from 50-80$.

Check out the Corsair 200R. A great compact budget case. It's a bit older but still has top notch build quality and solid features.

Levelog saving the skin yet again! Thanks mate.

Here's the review of parts with clearance
If you can stretch for a gigabyte gaming 5 I'd suggest it. If you need to stick to a low end board I'd swap for an MSI G41 PC Mate or G43
You want me to get a micro board for this case or is it because my current mobo is shite?
None of those are micro boards, but they may have micro versions
Apparently the gaming 7 is a bit cheaper than the 5 right now for some reason. I might have to pick it up myself.

OK guys, I'm getting out of partpicker and into actual building, thanks for all your help.
I do have some questions, though. I know simple things like how to plug in the HDD and the CPU fan, etc. I can't seem to find any labeling on the board for front power buttons, lights, etc. All I see is front USB 3. Can someone draw on this and show me what goes where?

Alright, thanks for the help. For some reason, typing in G43/G41/Gigabyte Gaming 5 only gave me the micro-variants on PCpartpicker.

Its what's labeled as f_panel. That big white strip. Its on the bottom right if you're looking at it from a normal orientation.
Do they not include the manual with the motherboard any more of did you not think they would put that in it?

Here is the page so you don't need to open the book.

Any recommended HDD's? I'm set on the Samsung 850 Evo for an SSD, I just don't know what HHD's to get.
Hey guys. After a month of trying to get a replacement motherboard I went and bought a new one instead. It a H170 D3 I hooked everything up and both the psu and cpu fans turn on, but I'm not getting any picture on my monitor using the DVI port. I don't know what's wrong.
Seagate Barracudas are pretty good, right?
Does anyone have any tips for opening the locks on PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots? I'm trying to change my graphics card, but it just won't open. I've tried to apply force and wiggle the card in every direction, but it won't budge.
My mobo for reference (upper blue slot):

Hope this is the right thread.
Just press the clip down at the right end of the slot, which you can see on top of the graphics card:

Long live having a spare board and GPU for reference.
Second, did you already remove the screws holding the card in place? I've noticed with my brother's ASUS GTX 570 (visible in the image), that it took a bit of wiggling upwards from the bracket to get it to move.
I removed the screws and I've tried holding down the pin, but like I said it won't budge. Most of it is covered by the graphics card, so there's hardly any space to push on.
Push harder.

DVI port on the mobo or the GPU?

Motherboard, I'm not going to use the one on the GPU before I get everything set up. I know that much.

Spent nearly £900 for a computer to use ms paint.
Spent $3000 Canadian dollars, played Undertale.
Anyway, a buddy of mine has an old computer. Do you guys have any suggestions for a $1000 build?
Just need some suggestions, mainly CPU/Motherboard, if I should get AMD or Intel, etc.
[editline]23rd December 2015[/editline]
I guess I'd be better to go with Intel now? Since AMD's Zen isn't out yet?
Gentlemen, I hope you are all well.
Some of you remember a few months ago I build a PC from second hand parts, I ended up selling it to a friend for more than it cost me.. Happy days!
Anyway, after presuming a Xbox One would suffice (Trust me, it doesn't), I am back trying to build another PC which I can casually game on.
I'm looking at running games on high to maximum comfortablely, I understand this might not be possible on my budget.. I am willing to take a little visual hit. How does the below compare? My budget is £550..
