Safe mode. You freak out easy. Calm down. It's a computer, few things short of taking a wrench to the motherboard can really screw it up entirely.
How do I go into safe mode? I know it's not totally broken, it's just I can anticipate my parents' disapproval with every little set back there is to this infernal contraption. It's not a pleasant feeling when this was meant to be my breaking out of their fold. Like falling flat on your arse when you try to do something impressive. I ordered a usb-to-ps/2 thingy with which I can use my keyboard to undo my mistake so I can sleep again.

I found three USB-PS/2 adapters behind my monitor, I'm not really sure why I have them.

It was a setting in the BIOS I changed.
n-key roll over or if your OS doesn't support USB which i want to know which OS does not [sp](if you say windows 95 or older you're dead to me)[/sp]
All my life I thought that USB did n-key and PS/2 did 6 key. Fuck.
Looking for an upgrade build for a sapphire r9 270x vapor-x that I got as a gift. Just need a mobo, cpu, and new ram. Price range 100-200$ USD, was looking at this, are these upgrade kits legit?
And how do I do it without a keyboard? Because I only have a USB keyboard. It was a setting in the BIOS I changed.
Oh, that's easier. Just bridge your Clear CMOS jumpers, or if you're lucky, there's a button that does that. Check your manual.
Looking for a recommendation for a decent monitor I can get for around 400 AUD. Looking 1440p, but not sure whether to go for IPS or 144hz.
usb CAN do n-key it just may or may not work under bios
I was only getting 6 over USB until I remembered there is a dip switch on the bottom of the keyboard for 6/n-key. Keyboard doesn't send input or light up over PS/2, maybe 108 LEDs is too much power or something.

Hey guys, I am a complete idiot when it comes to computers(my brother helped me built it, like 3 years ago). but recently, I been wanting to upgrade my GPU. The question is: What should i upgrade to, that is good enough to run most modern video games in a high setting, not 4K or any ultra or fancy shit, just high (AND maybe VR support?). I only have 1 monitor and i dont plan upgrading anything else in the nearby future but if i do, i would like the video card to be usable in the next build. My motherboard is a ASUS P8H61-M LX3 and my processor is an Intel Core I5 3470 CPU 3.20GHZ, so i guess im looking for something that works with those? - I dont know really, like I stated before, computers is not my forte. PD- I know that another important piece of information would be my "budget" but I live in a shitty 3rd world country that has access to most GPUs but they are much more expensive(Stuff is 100 to 250$ more here). BUT! For the sake of giving more information I would say my budget is 300-450$ dollars. AND lastly, if you want to go the extra mile(and be super nice) and pick something from this webpage(it has the pricing in my country and it shows whats available in my country in terms of GPUs) that would be amazingly helpful but I dont want to look like a lazy piece of shit(i probably look like one already so w/e)(Also I guess you need to have some level of spanish proficiency to navigate the page). 970 or r9 390
I seen alot of stuff with the R9 390 and 970 prefix, so, any difference between them? or is it just a preference thing. Im asking because prices on them vary and they all actually go above my budget. For example, the R9 390X 8GB MSI is 605$ in my country(in the US it is 430-450$). I dont mind spending another 150$ if this card will be good for a while tho. Another example would be the GTX970 4GB GIGABYTE GV N970G1 (490$ in my country and 350~$ in the US). That one is closer to my budget but again, i dont know if it would be more worth a while to spend 115$ and get the R9 390X which might be better in the long run. Im sorry am asking so many questions...
I haven't looked at newegg.ca in a few years. Does anyone know if they have any big sales around this time of year?

However I consider getting at least a 390 over a 970 IMO. AMD is doing a lot of good things when it comes to their cards now and a lot of people are starting to prefer them. Most cases usually just come down to personal preference though. If it has everything you need and looks good in your setup, then go for it.
Would anyone have any recommendations for putting together a fully modern machine that can run everything at max with no issues? Or would it be a better idea to get a pre built such as this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227624 The budget range is pretty wide currently: from 1k to 1500 I would say. Also, would it be the best idea to just get Windows 10 on it? or is 8.1 more recommended? I did notice the build in the OP, but I am still curious to hear a few opinions. It would also be nice to hear some things about AMD, since I am currently unfamiliar with how they are progressing or how their products compare to Nvidia/Intel.

Hey gang. Got $50 in Amazon money and it's past time I got a proper case for my desktop. Is the HAF 912 still the budget case to beat?
Hey gang. Got $50 in Amazon money and it's past time I got a proper case for my desktop. Is the HAF 912 still the budget case to beat?
No the HAF is very outdated. I'd say the NZXT Source 210 Elite has taken its place.
Why? [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] More precisely, what does it offer over the HAF 912? What features should I be looking for in a modern case?
Why? [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] More precisely, what does it offer over the HAF 912? What features should I be looking for in a modern case?
The HAF has shit radiator support, old less simple hard drive mounting, and an ugly unpainted interior. Basically the NZXT has all the little things that add up that have become commonplace in midrange cases. It's a much newer case design and benefits from that. The HAF was made at a time where AIO coolers weren't really around and is just a really stripped down case. [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] Coolermaster has fallen off the top spots for cases IMO
Building a rig for my engineering work and for playing games (Scrapping my xbox one, don't enjoy it as much as I used to enjoy computing :( ) The engineering software I use tends to be fairly heavy on my ram and I need the computer to last a good while.
