Okay, here's the current build... It's a bit over 900 euros but that's not too bad. How does it look? http://i.imgur.com/xk1ioyE.png
Looks perfect.
Deciding between: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139142 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G28N0668 What do you guys think?
I have the 850w variant of the EVGA one, I like mine, I did have an issue where my first one was Dead on arrival replaced it pretty quickly for me and has been working for me ever since.

[editline]7th January 2016[/editline] Better quality for the same price.
EVGA without a doubt.
Both had the same price and good reviews. I was leaning towards the EVGA anyways. Curious whats wrong with the Corsair?
Both had the same price and good reviews. I was leaning towards the EVGA anyways. Curious whats wrong with the Corsair?
It's just not as good quality. There's only a single power supply that comes to mind that's scored higher on jonnyguru (the most in depth and knowledgeable power supply reviewer out there) than the EVGA G2 750w and it certainly wasn't the Corsair. [editline]7th January 2016[/editline] Also it's what I run and as some people here can attest to I'm pretty picky with my PSUs :v:

[editline]7th January 2016[/editline] Another quick question, what are some good 140mm fans. There's a lot on the market not sure which to buy. They're for intake on top of the case.

Update on rig: Got all my parts today and assembled the computer. Guess what? It doesn't work. CPU and case fans turn for a half-second and only the power switch on the mobo is lit up, rest of the rig isn't turning on. I'm guessing it's a dead mobo. Took me about 2 hours to build it and 5 more to troubleshoot it and now I have a 20+ pound paperweight. Tempted to just bring it into a shop because I'm too assed to troubleshoot further.
Sure both the CPU power and motherboard power are plugged in? Try booting with just a stick of RAM, no drives or GPU
it's not necessarily the motherboard. my old pc was doing that yesterday after i replaced the psu and it turned out one of the hard drives was shorting it. the L part of the sata power connector had broken off. uplugged and everything was golden. just try unplugging things one by one. [editline]8th January 2016[/editline] also - you may need to turn the psu on and off after each attempt.
Tried both those steps. I thought metal was touching the board and shorting it. Placed the board on the box and just had a stick of ram (tested each slot too and with a different stick), CPU + EVO 212, and had the 24-pin and 8-pin connected. Tried powering on the board with the mobo switch but same thing happened. Also removed the 8-pin connector and same thing happens so I'm thinking the CPU isn't being powered either. Then tried to reseat the CPU and tried again. Same problem. Again: only 1 ram stick, CPU, and CPU cooler were on the board ontop of the cardboard box it came in. The power switch on that particular board stays on (orange light) but nothing else works. One thing to note is that for some reason when I received the board, there is a VERY minuscule piece of fabric or dust thing entangled on 3 of the pins of the CPU socket. Is that enough to not power the CPU? I don't trust myself with a toothpick so I might buy a can of compressed air. I have another rig so I can separately test the Mobo and PSU but I'm too tired to try it today. Thanks for the help regardless.
It could absolutely prevent it from posting. I'd clear that out as well as test the PSU in another rig.
^ sounds like you know what the problem is, dude. pins gotta be free of the junk
Yeah, going to test the PSU on the other working rig. Also going to test the other rig's PSU on the mobo. Hopefully that'll give me a better diagnostic. If that doesn't work, do you know of any decent computer repair places that don't cost a fortune to do a diagnostic, I only really need that and can do repairs/replacements on my own. EDIT: The debris is VERY small, like literally a socket pin's width and length of fabric caught on two of the pins. I find it hard to believe but I'll take your word for it.
I mean clearing out the pins will most likely fix it. Most PC repair places are trash and will charge you $50+ to tell you what you already will know after the troubleshooting you have planned.

Sorry for the questions, just super pissed that this rig isn't working especially after dropping a premium on it (compared to my previous rigs at least). EDIT: I'll be going to sleep, too tired to deal with it atm, thanks in advance for any help/answers/tips.
Not a clue. It really depends on how exactly it's tangled.
I need a computer case... mine is falling apart. My motherboard is atx sized and I have a hyper212 evo and a gtx 760. I kinda want a good case but small Im from the us if that matters
How much are you willing to spend on it?

The Corsair has better cooling flexibility. If you want to go with liquid eventually its not going to fit in an N200 very well. I've tried.
I literally had every part for my PC arrive today except for the CPU cooler. And for some absurd reason it won't arrive till monday
If you have a stock fan laying around you can at least check if it POST or not.
Nah, first desktop. And Its a skylake, so no stock cooler
I got two Radeon HD 6950s second hand for 100$

I have three hard drives in there, gonna have to get creative to fit them in. The last major upgrade (motherboard and CPU replacement) for this PC was in early 2011 so the cards are just as outdated as the rest of the system.
Man, those cards look sleek
UPDATE 2: Cleared out the debris inside the CPU socket with compressed air. Reconnected everything and it still happens. Still have yet to test the mobo and PSU. For recap: - EVO 212 + Case Fans spin for half-second and other components don't even turn on - MOBO power switch LED turns on and stays on with orange light (GA-Z97X-Gaming 7) - Pressing power buttons does nothing, on both case and mobo. I'd have to unplug power and replug it to replicate the same result I'm almost tempted to bring it into a repair shop just so I can save a bit of time. Will update again in the future. TL;DR Keep your warranty documents
Need a new internal HDD. been running off an external for a really long time and its getting old. Can someone recommend a good one, 2 tb and up? Looking for around $100 but not sure about speeds.
Where'd you buy the motherboard? Just RMA it.
Bought it from NewEgg. Guess I'll have to at this point.
