Your particular Chieftec is fine.
Get a Bx100 or MX200 or a samsung evo 850 the BX200 sucks.
H60i and H100i aren't good value anymore when you need to replace the fans because they are exceptionally loud.
you can use the motherboard's voltage control to silence them
or solder up a resistor
The Corsair fans that came with my h100i, had a high minimum fan speed, and an annoying buzz and various low fan speeds. Additionally adding a resistor (I tried 2, idk what they where rated) made it unable to start spinning on its own.
Believe me i've tried, the h100i have a build in fan controller, you can set any curve you want, there where no reasonable settings.
There is still big variance in Decibel/Airflow ratio between a good and a bad fan. Buying some decent fans made all the difference in the world.

My fans are dead silent... I think my humidifier is louder.

this is true, so when i got my H100i GTX, I also needed case fans, so i got like 4 2packs of 120mm quiet edition fans to fit for my case and replace the shitty ones.

If anything the 105i or the gtx 110 are incredible improvements. If you bought your 100 back in early 2015 or before, they changed the fans in March 2015 so they're quieter.

I don't remember the real date they did, but it was a quiet improvement
Trying to build a pretty decent gaming computer and am trying to decide between AMD and Intel for the CPU. I have always went with Intel, but my wallet is trying to convince me otherwise. I can afford an Intel, but god damn are AMDs cheap.
Basically trying to decide between these two:

Trying to justify paying $170 more is hard. I just don't want to end up making a bad purchase.
Thoughts?
If AMD, could I/should I go for an even better CPU (I didn't really check around for one)?

Don't get an i7 for gaming, get an i5.

Really? I always figured the i7 would be better.

At best marginally. Really not worth the money.

Thanks for mentioning this because I can get a great deal on some DDR4 RAM.
Should I buy A GTX780 for 160€ y/n?

Great deal. What do you have currently?
5770 :v:
Yeah then. But that deal is definitely around the "too good to be true" mark.

Yeah they did a good job rectifying the issue.
[editline]9th February 2016[/editline]
Though they unfortunately can't fix the corrosion issue without ramping up production costs a good bit.
