Raidmax is not reputable at all except for making IEDs. please, no.
I'm looking to buy a new GPU for $200 - $250. I saw the Nvidia 960 but I have new clue which manufacturer to go with. I might also need to upgrade my PSU, not sure. It's a 430w. Here's the rest of my PC just in case. [t]http://puu.sh/hoJa2/019e7965fd.png[/t]
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UOYQ5LA/?tag=pcpapi-20
Look like a big upgrade from my 6850, thanks. How does it compare to ATI cards of the same price range? Will my 430w PSU be able to handle it? I'll try and find the box for it and give more details in a moment. [editline]30th April 2015[/editline] It's a Corsair CX430

Cool, thank you. I'll order it this weekend.
So I got 10/12 pieces for my new build. I'm missing the SSD and the new case, and the case is going to be another week. I decided to gut my old case and drop the new parts into it. However, the GTX 970 is too large to fit in the case without some heavy modifying, so I dropped my old GeForce 460 SE v2 into the mobo. I'm getting a LOT of display driver crashing even after making sure I have everything up to date. Are my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5) and the 460 incompatible, or is there another issue at hand?
It could very well be a failing 460 or the most up to date drivers are back to fucking Fermi again.
Talking with a couple other people, it sounds like it's the drivers. I have the most recent ones through the GeForce Experience thing, the "Game Ready for GTA V" one, and it sounds like that's giving practically everyone issues. Beforehand I didn't even have drivers as far as I know, so I'm going to try rolling back a version.
Got a $500 budget (but can go a little over) and no need for an OS. I'm trying to make the smallest rig possible and ended up with this. I left about $75 since I was thinking of getting this SSD but wasn't too sure about it since I haven't been really paying much attention to SSDs lately. This PC doesn't need to be that powerful since it'll be hooked up to a TV with a max resolution of 1280x720, and I don't plan on getting a new TV any time soon.
What PSU should I get instead? Oh, and I don't really plan on overclocking the CPU.
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii520bronze
Thanks. Even though I don't plan on overclocking should I get a CPU cooler? Last time I had a stock cooler from intel is was pretty loud. I can get a smaller SSD if so. Already have three other SSDs I'm using in this build.
Awesome, thanks. Should I bother populating the two 80mm fan area?
With the amount of questions about PSUs and whether they're good or not, this really needs to be added to the first post.
Looking for a good mouse to replace my Deathadder. I was looking at the logitech MX master, I've heard good things. Mainly used for internet and gaming
What kind of games do you play? fps, mmo, a mix?
I'm thinking of upgrading the ram and cpu in my Lenovo y510p. currently have 6gb ram and an i5 4200m. I would like 8gb total at least and an i7. I'm just not sure what ram and cpu is compatible.
I should be pulling the trigger on the rest of my new build today, depending on how much money I fork over to my mechanic today. Hopefully I don't have to skip out on the SSD and the monitor until May 15th! Should I buy a better PSU to be safe? I really don't want to risk my PC or anything if it's going to be cutting it close.

So my SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) came in. I remember being told I need to do something with my BIOS to help with the longevity of the drive. What all do I need to watch out for with installing the SSD? Things I should or shouldn't install on it? Or are they getting to the point that they're reliable enough I don't need to worry as much any more?
Decided to go over my $500 budget [t]http://i.imgur.com/efbvIYH.png[/t] Found a spare 500GB hard drive so I didn't need the extra SSD after all. Decided to get a 212 EVO since I really don't trust/like Intel coolers.

Oops. I didn't even realize I left that in there. it's suppose to be a TX3.
Oops. I didn't even realize I left that in there. it's suppose to be a TX3.
Should work well, and it's a hell of a lot easier to put on than my old 212 EVO. [editline]2nd May 2015[/editline] It's also pretty damn quiet.
Yeah, most of the reviews I've read mentioned how quiet it is. Also, that 270X is on sale and I'm not going to be ordering this stuff for a while (for about a week or so). A good back up would be the 750 Ti right? I had that in the original build/idea. I haven't paid much attention to PC hardware at all lately and all these new names are confusing on AMD's side.
Yeah. The 270x is more powerful than the 750ti, but the 750ti is a good backup.
What kind of games do you play? fps, mmo, a mix?
Mainly fps and tps
