You can't slide them in from the other side?
Yeah, just did that and it worked, though even on the other side it's still very hard to get on.
I also have a 750w G2 and I love the look and finish of it.
Trying to save space and put my computer on the floor. Problem is, I have carpet. Is this a good solution for this?
Yeah that's my point pretty much. My PSU fan is facing downward, and I'm too lazy to unplug everything, unscrew it, flip it, etc. Might just pick it up then.
What I did is make a custom pedestal. Your case has feet, so there's some ventilation. I picked up a couple feet of 2x4, put them into a rectangle a bit bigger than the case base. Then I picked up two of those flooring tiles with sticky bottoms to lay over the wood, case on top of that. You've got a clean pedestal with no issues with dust from the carpet. The whole thing was done for like 5 bucks.
Can I see a picture of how it looks?

That's quite smart actually. Bet it would look good too. I might consider doing just that.
I took the cooler off my 670 and cleaned it out really good, and stuck it back on with some arctic mx-4. The temp while playing GTA v went from 100c to 60c. Fuckin mind blown
Finally got it all in today and assembled it. Having issues booting on my old hard drive with W7 on it, so I put a fresh copy of 10 on the SSD and holy shit. I love SSD's so much now, I don't know if it's normal but off of a flash drive, W10 installed in like ten minutes. Quick question for you all! I currently have the EVGA GTX 760 4gb.. It has served me very well for almost two years but im starting to see it not do as well on some modern games like GTAV or Witcher 3... not terrible but not amazing. Is the upgrade to the GTX 970 worth or is there a better option. Thanks

Apparently recently people frown on the 980 for 'poor price for what you get' but so far its killed everything I have on ultra 1080 60, including Witcher 3. If you're an enthusiast you want the 980. If you're just a regular gamer, the 970 probably better for your money. Really depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Have you tried overclocking it yet? I just started overclocking mine today and I went from playing GTA V on normal kinda choppy to playing on a mix of high and very high settings at around 50fps, buttery smooth.

Any good guides on it?
http://www.overclock.net/t/1265110/the-gtx-670-overclocking-master-guide#post_17391121 Once you read through it a little, use the quick overclocking method with precision X, GPU-z, and heaven benchmark. Also, if your temps are a bit high you might want to take the cooler off and give it a good clean, and replace the thermal paste with some good stuff. I just did this with arctic mx-4 paste and my temps went from 100c to 60c. After overclocking, the temps never break 75c. Also remember that the card throttles the clock in steps at 70c, 80c, 90c, and 95c, so keeping it under 70c is optimal.
Hey! Recently my PC has started falling behind it being nearly 5 years old and it was a pre-built although I remember at the time it being a very reasonable price, I am tempted to order this computer (http://www.novatech.co.uk/pc/range/novatechblacknti135.html) off the same website and I was wondering if this is a reasonable price or should I just invest in building my own, many thanks in advance! :)
any thoughts on holding out a PC build for Intel's Skylake?

So I've got all my bits and assembled the PC I was building, but despite the guide claiming that everything worked and that people had built this with no problems, the cooler is too big and I can't fit the side of the case on properly. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/IMG_0191.JPG[/t] It's not a massive problem, but is it going to be a bad idea to have the side panel pretty much touching the top of the cooler? I have no idea how hot it's likely to get. I could buy a smaller cooler, but if it's not going to be a major detriment to the way the PC runs then I'm content to leave the case side hanging off like this.
Odd question, but is there a "correct" way a computer sounds when it turns off?. I made some changes and before when I'd shut down it'd do the whole speed up fans for a quick second then its shut down. Now it'll just plain shut off, I get no warning like I did before. Is this making any sense? Is this a problem or am I just paranoid.
SSD or CPU? Here's my PC as of right now. I was thinking monitor as well because I have some garbage emachines thing that I got for cheap years ago. [t]http://puu.sh/hMxdk/06db234443.png[/t]
I'd say get a decent SSD now, then wait for Skylark cpu's to come out and snag one of those.
There's really no point to upgrading from ivy to skylake if this leak turns out true.

In that case maybe the 4970k will drop on price once skylark hits.
Do you have an AMD chip? I forget.
nah, running a 3570k.
nah, running a 3570k.
But I just said there's no point in upgrading from ivy to skylake if those leaks are true... it's really not a good jump. [editline]24th May 2015[/editline]
In that case maybe the 4970k will drop on price once skylark hits.
Why would it? Skylake is barely better according to that chart. Just slightly more than the average 3-5% improvement.
oh that's dumb. Does SLI make a noticeable difference in gaming? I bought a 960 and in hindsight I wish I saved up a little more money and bought a 970. [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] and are i7s still not useful for gaming? Should I stick to i5 chips if that's all I do?
