When you're not a hardcore benchmark gamer, that card is actually pretty nice.
Yes, but the 4850 is better/cheaper, soooo a 4770 isn't a good buy right now.
Yes, but the 4850 is better/cheaper, soooo a 4770 isn't a good buy right now.
I wasn't talking about price.
People falsely associate RAM with processing power. Then they realize the 8GB RAM computer they bought comes with a shit GPU and a shit PSU not allow many options.
True. Very true. I brought my PC to school for a couple days last week to render/work on my videos in class. (Because our lab computers are shitty dual-cores @ 2GHz with 1GB of RAM) The first question everyone asked me about my PC is how much RAM it had. As if it determined how powerful it was... (I have 2GB of DDR2 667MHz for those of you who are wondering.)
What Operating System OP?
What Operating System OP?
Windows 7. And yes, i know the PSU is a P.O.S.
So you need a new PSU as well.
So you need a new PSU as well.
Yep yep
I wasn't talking about price.
I don't know why you wouldn't consider the price? Being that the OP has a budget which means he doesn't have money to just spend which means its our duty to give the OP the best for his money. So in essence we should always be talking about price/performance unless it's a no budget. [editline]04:40PM[/editline]
Yep yep
If you'd like to keep both within $130 get these two. Better PSU for the $: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016&cm_re=antec_550-_-17-371-016-_-Product Or: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003

This should do the job: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371023
Yes, but the 4850 is better/cheaper, soooo a 4770 isn't a good buy right now.
The 4770 has very decent performance all things considered. Yes, it's below 4850 performance, but it runs cooler, requires less power, and makes a nice "First 40 nm video card made" trophy. But the price could be better, I admit. With these awesome deals on newegg, it's got stiff competition.
