You can probably burn the image to a sata HDD and boot the installer from that instead.
USB drives are cheap as dirt

I know I got a mac new enough to deploy the image on it. [editline]sadfas[/editline]Fuck. Actually now I remember that I loaned it out with my Altair 8800 to a friend in Vancouver four months ago. He has my only spare SATA drive! D: .

I wanna get my own gear to make my own cat5/6 cables. Should I bother making cat6? I've always bought cat6, just because in absolute dollars it's barely more expensive.
Cat6 is nice because it's actually rated for gigabit speeds but you really gotta make sure you aren't getting counterfeit cat6 cable. Speaking of which, I'm running a new line right now because the mice ate through the gigabit fiber.

It can be tricky at first, though once you get the hang of it you'll be crimping connectors in your sleep. Just don't cheap out on the connectors.

In my computer tech class, our handbook had a page on Cat5 cables, how they work and how to make them. We never made them in class :(
Fucking RJ45 crimps. I spent half an hour trying to figure out why new and tested good cables were not working the fucking plastic tabs need to be bent out first, otherwise they'll slip out of the jack a little bit and you'll never notice.
Welp, deleted my TeamViewer account. Hope someone makes a replacement soon.
Hope someone makes a replacement soon.
There are plenty of remote desktop software out there already. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software
There are plenty of remote desktop software out there already. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software
But how many of them are designed in a way that I can just tell my friend "Here, download this and read me the numbers"
But how many of them are designed in a way that I can just tell my friend "Here, download this and read me the numbers"
Quite a few actually. Check out the alternatives section in the reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/4m7ay6/teamviewer_has_been_hacked_they_are_denying/ [editline]4th June 2016[/editline] But to be honest, I'm not giving up on TV just yet and it's possible they weren't fully compromised as they've been repeatedly claiming. According to TV's reddit posts, most (except for 2 unconfirmed cases) reported that users with 2FA is unaffected. The recent login dumps has also caused a lot of issues with other remote desktop softwares like LogMeIn as well, but people just aren't causing as big of a hysteria as TV.
I mean why not? Not much more expensive. All you need to make them is a $15 crimper and some ends.
A cable tester is also vital, but for the most basic needs, a china sub 10$ tester is fine.
Ok, so I got this haswell socket 1150 box to post with this i5 4570 at last, I think the PSU is a POS, that's why it wasn't working. So do any of you know any firewire video capture programs that work with Linux, can't seem to find any?

It is done. I also bundled in the disk image writer https://mega.nz/#!CFIiSICJ!bt2YnupGxXMIHunuzeGC9boynpoFJg5DQYM-bLLm0z8
So do any of you know any firewire video capture programs that work with Linux, can't seem to find any?
Does Mplayer capture anything?
Does Mplayer capture anything?
Not sure, haven't tried that one. trying to get Ubuntu to capture off a miniDV deck is a massive pain in the ass, may have to just shell out for another Windows licence.

Well I can already tell this is going to be an interesting page.

I'm assured that you did the best you could and now it's up to me to do the rest. Thank you. I'm complaining about the whole "You can now download your fi- oh, you have a larege file. Please download our exclusive application to download the file instead." bullshit. Too used to FTP/SFTP. Also I found my old, old 8gb Patriot USB stick, so we should be in business.
