You can tell I'm not yet awake on my Saturday. :v:
All i ask is for the results to be posted. I like an interesting challenge.
A cable tester is also vital, but for the most basic needs, a china sub 10$ tester is fine.
I really don't think it's vital. I've never had one.
So glad that shitshow of a site is gone. Shame all the data went with it.

Not really a shame since people pretty much used RS only for shitty warez releases split into 50 parts of 100MBs chunks while it was popular.
Megaupload's the one that was decent and actually had genuine uses.

anyone know a way to force the computer to use the turbo multiplier? I normally have it at the stock 15 but it bumps to 19 during turbo which should be 5073 MHz. I haven't figured out a way to force it to validate with turbo core enabled or a way to reliably activate turbo core long enough to validate

I wonder what incurred more cost to the world economy. People sharing files on Rapidshare, or people wasting time waiting for their downloads to start/finish on Rapidshare.

Fuck. It hits 2.00gb and then dies and shits out a corrupt 7zip file. Is this working for anyone else?
Sort-of an example of CIPWTTKT:
Could a Neuroscientist Understand a Microprocessor? - a paper applying neuroscientific techniques to try to reverse-engineer the MOS 6502. Short version: they managed to identify the registers, accumulator, decoder, and some other modules, but didn't figure out what they were really for, and found many techniques downright wrong ("lesion studies" gave completely wrong conclusions, pointing at individual transistors as being responsible for running certain pieces of software - which they knew were wrong, and they're suggesting that lesion studies on actual brains might similarly give wrong results)
That paper was inspired by the earlier Can a Biologist Fix a Radio?, which is also a good read.

send me the link over something
if this isn't sorted by about 18:30 (for reference this post was written at 13:15) I'll see what I can do
I'm wearing 5 layers of clothing and just took a shot of chili powder, black pepper, garlic powder and vodka.
Aside from my mouth feeling like a well-done steak right now, this cold is getting fucking obliterated I already feel better.
I've heard some crazy homemade remedies in my time but that one takes the cake
I read about it on the Internet and after 800mg of ibuprofen and DayQuil I still can't stop feeling like I took a shotgun to the head. And we all know everything you read on the Internet is good for you.
The vodka, however, did help...

Just downloaded and extracted it, looks like the upload is OK. Try redownloading it and see what happens.
Well I mean there is alcohol in dayquil and(or?) nyquil

I prefer a whole bottle of creomulsion mixed with cloves, a jigger of scotch, and a tablespoon of honey

there's not, it's DXM. you're not supposed to mix DXM and alcohol at all.
I wonder how much of my life was wasted because of that fucking site
Thank god there was search engine websites for files on other file hosting websites. Often you could find the file you want but on Megaupload or Mediafire, both of which typically maxed out my Internet connection (while downloading at like 10MB/s). Fun times. Megaupload was actually something that was super useful and I feel bad for the people who bought the lifetime membership (unless they got something after the launch of MEGA). Also surprised MEGA is still actually up.

I guess no mixing dxm and alcohol is more of an "in recreational quantities" kind of thing then

it's more of a suggestion than a rule really anyways

Does anyone else remember when the uploader would be a dick and make you sign up, do a survey or two, then download a text file which links to another survey, all with adfly links before you can get to the file that you want?
Does anyone else remember when the uploader would be a dick and make you sign up, do a survey or two, then download a text file which links to another survey, all with adfly links before you can get to the file that you want?
People actually did the surveys? Even bypassing adfly with de••••••• gateway was annoying.
[editline]5th June 2016[/editline]
Haha the censorship.
I just used the ad link decrypter websites instead
Not sure, haven't tried that one. trying to get Ubuntu to capture off a miniDV deck is a massive pain in the ass, may have to just shell out for another Windows licence.
Have you tried OBS? I know OBS Studio on Windows supports firewire video capture, but I'm not sure if it's been implemented in the new multiplat version yet. I got my obscure Chinese USB capture card to work in the multiplat version tho, so it's worth a shot.
