I love the subtle differences between devices. If I recall, on the 2950, you use int range fa0/1-24 to do a range, though on pretty much everything else I've used, you type int range fa0/1 - 24. It drives me nuts.

Not sure if it's more permissive in Packet Tracer but everything I tried accepted it without spaces.
All the router interfaces start numbering at 0 and the switches start at 1. :huh:

I like how they have a TS license when they don't even need it, they are a gaming community they can get a non-profit license that'll give them 512 slots per server over their current 256 license that they don't even use fully, their TS servers are locked at 150 slots.

Most dedicated server places lease copies of Windows Server for when you don't want to pay $700 per copy
There's also an argument to say "live within your means." $1k in donations a month is a tall order.
Like it'd suck to cut down their community but that's how you avoid being $750 short, by not having to pay $750 extra.

They don't even get that much traffic on these servers, the A3 servers at most never go over 40 players.
Its crazy having a single A3 server on a dual xeon machine that only handles 40 players (but still runs like ass because its A3).
Isn't most of the load on an A3 server the AI which is single threaded. So you end up with 31/32 threads at fuck all utilisation on server #2 because of it?
Does anyone have experience with setting up a Directory Server (LDAP) for OSX machines? I really need someone to hold my hand for a minute and help me out on the setup.

Hmm to get Office 365 to replace the current E-mail server or to go full linux and get Zentyal...
So the situation is that the current E-mail server is running on Windows Server 2003 for ~150 clients and yeah, it needs an upgrade. I did some price checking and migrating alone costs 3000€. Then add the monthly fee to it as well and shits expensive.
Ah, so long my dusty old piece of shit HD6900 card, with its cover being held together by ordinary household tape from one end, and welcome my brother's old GTX960.
What a relief, I can finally play garry's mod and Dota2 without overheating.

Yeah routers will start at 0 while switching interfaces start at 1, there's a reason for it but I forget why. The differences in syntax all depend on what product line you're using. Catalyst, Metro, Nexus, ASR, etc all have some different abilities and commands. Like the Nexus line has per line commit ability which is pretty cool.

I don't even, throw away the dual xeon boxes for a bunch of i7s just so they can keep the 15 ips they have while at the same time only about halving their monthly expenses, they have a dual E5 2650v2 and they are just throwing it away. I give up trying to help them now.
