MediaFire was the shit for music. Sharethreads on /mu/ provided me with a shit ton of music.
Have you tried OBS? I know OBS Studio on Windows supports firewire video capture, but I'm not sure if it's been implemented in the new multiplat version yet. I got my obscure Chinese USB capture card to work in the multiplat version tho, so it's worth a shot.
Open Broadcaster, I gave it ago, but it doesn't seem to detect the firewire device, well doesn't read it as a capture device.
Is there a driver issue in there somewhere?
it's more of a suggestion than a rule really anyways
I mean I said creomulsion and scotch, I know for sure dxm and alcohol work well together
If I can't get it to capture, I'll either buy a Windows licence or only use it with the blackmagic card.
Is there a driver issue in there somewhere?
I'm not sure, but the only linux program that seems to work is Kino, but it loses connection to the device if there is a breakup (bad part) in the miniDV tape. Kino keeps detecting then not detecting the miniDV deck, it's sort of fluctuating. Ok I fixed that last thing, Kino is working fine, but OBS and Kdenlive can't detect the device.
Solution: disable all updates There's no way this can go wrong ever
I think I want to buy a TV for my new room (just moved). Might as well buy a 4k TV for that futureproofness, right?
I think I want to buy a TV for my new room (just moved). Might as well buy a 4k TV for that futureproofness, right?
It doesn't make much of a price difference anymore anyway.
It doesn't make much of a price difference anymore anyway.
You might have to pay a little extra for more hdmi ports and whatever else that's useful.
Do Android TVs have twitch?
Do Android TVs have twitch?
I am pretty sure you can just install the Android Twitch App without problems? Is there only specific apps that work on Android TV?
So I started to try and use ExpanDrive to connect to Google Drive as a network drive. It likes to disconnect randomly while transferring stuff so I have no idea if it is Google's fault or the program's fault. I'll have to look into it some more and maybe try other similar programs. Also it feels so weird copying stuff at USB 2 speeds but remembering that it's over my Internet and not over a USB 3 connection.
happy birthday to me
happy birthday to me
I disagree, you didn't post the FP strip so it's not legit.
i haven't gotten the fp strip in like 3 years
I officially have the weirdest computer problem of all time: My copy Windows 10 apparently uninstalled itself. Edit: Now where the fuck did I put my W8 product key? I found the disk to try to reinstall but I can't find the key anywhere. I actually paid for this shit, better be around here somewhere.

In my experience the actual thing limiting someone's internet speed is where they live and the quality of the wiring not some magical "fuck you customer" button. Also: wifi
So for the past week or so, I've been having ads injected into the links I click on Google. Ran a whole bunch of malware and virus scans. Found nothing. Turns out the Chrome Extension I was using to quickly reupload images to Imgur was injecting ads into shit. Fucking annoying as dicks.

Some ISPs actually prioritise traffic from Speedtest.net and the like just to make themselves look better :v:

I don't need my key to validate the install anymore, I just log in to my @live account and its good to go.
Did you not link it to a Microsoft account? Anyways, I did find the key, eventually. Updates are taking forever to install, though. Going from fresh W8 to latest W10 is going to take a while. [editline]5th June 2016[/editline]
I always put a screenshot of the activation key somewhere on the root folder of my secondary drive
I may have put it in a text file on drive 4, but I actually have only one box that can accept 3.5" SATA drives, and it's the one I'm repairing. So if I did, it wasn't helpful. I did check my laptop, no dice there.
I mean there have been huge issues with ISP's throttling Netflix and prioritizing speedtest traffic. Also I'm insulted by your generalization of Wifi.
I get 12Mbits on this netflix thing, 21 on speedtest, 18-21 on speedof.me and generally around 2MB down on torrents. Not complaining but I would not be surprised if netflix is throttled by my ISP, 12Mbits sounds okay and I don't use it anyways.
