I'd personally recommend a korean 27" 1440P monitor instead. They're significantly cheaper and are much better supported.
I already have one of those, I want it for the 16:10 for my linux desktop. [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline]
Im pretty sure he was an idiot. he got expelled for literally putting a kid who "annoyed him" in the hospital for a dumb joke. He's one of the people i can truly say i actually hate, especially since he was spinning it like the kid deserved it, but he was new to the school and trying to fit it. It was back in 2008 so i wasn't a member of facepunch yet and im still not sure i want to go onto linux for any reason, simply put i really don't have a good reason to. I feel bad and decrepit when it comes to newer technology these days. In the past things were more technical in the way that it was done, and i have a lot of misconceptions about newer technology now. So sorry guys, when i'm adamant about something being correct i don't really mean to sound stupid but i probably do. [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] to be honest i would go with a 4k screen at that price and size. My asus is literally the best monitor i've ever had, but it takes a lot to drive games. i usually put it on 1080p because this monitor scales so well but 1440p does as well. speaking of which this guy doesn't understand it takes more power to push 1080p at 144hz than 1440p at 60 hz and attributes literally everything to a bottleneck everywhere The literal only place the bottleneck is, is the resolution he uses.
Wouldn't be on a gaming system. I already have my korean 1440p@100hz
If you are on a business trip with all expenses covered, including laundry services, then it doesn't matter. If you want to save some money, go to a local coin laundry if there's even one nearby. If not, then go hand wash it in the sink and remember to bring some detergent or something. There's cloth hangers in your hotel for a reason. Also $25 for a shirt, geez. It better be dry cleaned, folded and smell amazing when I get it (it would be tho).
this was an absolute godsend when we were in japan on vacation, we chose not to bring 5 bags of clothes and stuff with us, and only 2 small backpacks. we don't have street laundromats here so it was a pleasant surprise to be able to take a short walk, pay like $10 and have our clothes washed and dried in an hour
Pretty much why when I end up in the process of building a desktop, I know that the prices are going to be terrible
But are they as terrible as in the UK? I swear over here they convert USD to GBP by making say $200 into £200 and maybe add a bit more just to screw you over a little more.
Hey, at least thanks to current UK politics, soon 1 USD = 1 GBP will actually be right.
Should I use KeePass or LastPass?
Should I use KeePass or LastPass?
I use KeePass with a Dropbox. Works great so far.
Should I use KeePass or LastPass?
Not sure I'd trust LastPass with all my passwords to everything. With KeePass you can control where the passwords are, Dropbox works nicely (Dropsync if you need them on Android) but you could store them on your own server if you don't trust Dropbox.
If anyone uses dropbox, make sure to have 2FA set up because they don't even attempt to stop or notify you when someone logs in from fucking Algeria and presumably grabs all your shit [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] There's a reason I moved to Google Drive

I think I'll just put it on my Google drive since I already have that set up.

I imported it to Garry's Mod, why are the textures missing guys? [t]https://helifreak.duckdns.org/image/7v3e74z9.jpg[/t]
is there a trick to remove all partitions when you install windows? clicking remove on every default bloatware partition on every computer all the time is pissing me off

Laundry was only 50SEK in Stockholm and they included detergent, it was pretty solid.
is there a trick to remove all partitions when you install windows? clicking remove on every default bloatware partition on every computer all the time is pissing me off
Short of a third party utility like DBAN to nuke the drive beforehand, I don't think so.

[editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] Easy if you use a Windows PE tool for install.
I just brought a single backpack when I was traveling and just did the same.
yeah, i'm at de anza the drivers fucking suck the moment you cross on campus, already got hit by a car once. [editline]22nd August 2016[/editline] hot chips conference i assume, saw it's going on in cupertino while reading about hololens stuff
Yep. Hot Chips. They even gave us 128GB flash drives. I expected the crappy old 1-2GB ones. But nope. That was awesome. The Zen, Skylake and Power9 presentations are today which I am fawning over like crazy. The Skylake one is a joke, just marketing bullshit but I don't expect any better from Intel. Zen slides have a lot of good information but I'm hoping there's some certain missing information in the actual presentations. I have some questions I want to ask. and Power9 I've already poured over the document to hell and back and holy shit that is going to be a crazy, crazy good thing.
huh, probably only in major cities here then pxe, and i don't know shit about mde/scripts
I may have not phrased myself correctly, it was in the hostel. You guys really don't have laundromats there and it was a problem when I was in Göteborg. [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] You could just open up a command prompt and use diskpart to clear it out manually though. Still might be quicker.
You need a 2.7GB download, on top of the preload, to play Mankind Divided. Do they not understand what preloading means, or something?
huh, probably only in major cities here then pxe, and i don't know shit about mde/scripts
hit me up, i do a lot of WDS/MDT deployment at work.
What do you mean? Windows RT flanked by toy phones running another dead OS? More like full genius.
Ew, that's a Surface RT? I thought it was just a Surface Pro with the bad keyboard option. Makes my continued use of a first-gen Droid look sane in comparison. I really need to check the uptime on that thing, btw. I think I've hit two years on it by now.

Perhaps someday it'll have linux for arm but right now you can pick them up for as low as $20.

Wonder if there's a way to get one to work as a second screen for my Surface Pro 2 with Remote Desktop or something. I've been looking around for cheap touchscreen monitors but those apparently don't exist yet.
