Since when?
Since never but I've tried having this argument with Sam many times. It's not worth it.
Speaking of which, whats the status on Teamviewer? I got rid of everything TV and moved to chrome remote desktop. But I miss some of TV's features.
It's safe (there wasn't a breach) but I won't be using them as a matter of principle, they overall handled the whole situation really unprofessionally in my opinion Not to mention it's 2016 and they have no system in place to flag (and block) suspicious connections? It's the fucking golden key to my computer I would hope that they'd do their best to keep it safe, Facebook has that and it's waaay less important
OK going to NYC, what do?
Mourn the loss of FAO Schwarz
So I'm in Rochester right now. Turns out the bus went that direction. Too bad I'm stuck at a stereotypical Asian buffet for lunch.
wait what :v: [editline]27th August 2016[/editline] also woo my skype account got 'compromised' because apparently my old Skype login from ~2006 still works. I thought they just replaced that all with Microsoft account stuff?
For GeekBench 3 that's 33% faster. No small amount. Also doesn't the Macbook throttle badly?
I just like the late Atoms because they run circles around ~2009 C2Ds in terms of IPC at a smidgen of the heat or TDP and that's more than enough power for anything except gaming, honestly.
The Surface 3 gets close to the Macbook 2015 in real time tasks, Core M has a faster GPU and memory bus but in raw CPU speed it's only a tad faster
This is some top quality trollbait [editline]lol[/editline] I like how you cropped out the last two tests where the Core M utterly destroys the Atom in single core CPU-intensive applications: [t]http://i.imgur.com/114cUC0.png[/t]

Got more than enough grunt for 1080P 60FPS youtube, and that's their main selling point, to be desktop box / AIO and cheapbook CPU's for average Joe&Jane "social media" machine.

It's a bit more power hungry, but it also has a slightly beefier gpu, so that makes sense. Only went with it because all mini-itx J1900 boards with 4 s-ata ports at that time were expensive, while the AMD board was dirt cheap and had good reviews.
wait what :v:
I was in Rochester and I had Chinese food. Of all the things I could have eaten there, I ended up getting Americanized Chinese food. Now I'm bumming around at an outlet mall with no interest in buying anything because I don't need anything :v:
I moved my taskbar to the left hand side of my main monitor at work and one of my coworkers freaked out like "WOAH DUDE HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!"

Bootcamping the 12" MacBook be like
How did WoW run on that thing? When using Metal it makes by rMBP super toasty.
How did WoW run on that thing? When using Metal it makes by rMBP super toasty.
It's passively cooled so it gets pretty hot pretty quickly. Gets about 30FPS in the middle of invasions on low settings at 1440x900, so performance actually isn't terrible for being a 5W passive chip. I can get it up to 60FPS when nothing is going on.
I resetup a 6 column SS with six fixed size virtualdisks. Managed to hit 14Gbps reads on a 20GB test file. But only 3 on writes. :( Edit: Wasn't 20, more like a 4GB file. And it was actually 14gbps on writes so probably all done in caching vs actual throughput. Oh well.
I play it on the same settings and resolution with the same performance, but my rMBP has a GT 750m :ohno: Maybe for some reason WoW isn't using the dedicated GPU??
If that were the case at least the acronym is accurate. A GT750m should probably be able to max it out at 1440x900. The 12" rMB with the m5 isn't exactly a slouch though, here's some Geekbench scores comparing the rMBs to i5 MBPs: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Fba3M3H.png[/t] Though in any case a few years old dedicated card should probably outdo this year's current IGPs.
I hate LAX. I hate LAX with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. ATL is nice to navigate around. It's big but you can actually get to where you need to be without much trouble. Right now I'm sitting in SJC airport and am probably never flying through SJC again. Ideally I'd never fly through LAX again but it's pretty much the main way to get into the country from Aus.
DFW is p cool. It's not really an eye-catcher, but there is a lot to do in the airport.

I have a maxed out mid-2014 rMBP. I think WoW is Blizzards only game that uses Metal at the moment, but I know HotS and Diablo 3 don't have performance issues when playing on medium/low at 1440x900. Haven't tried StarCraft 2 but I haven't played that in a billion years since I'm terrible at it.
Bootcamp it and play in Windows? v:v:v I haven't tried any other Blizzard games. WoW is pretty much all I play these days.
Also the new Apple Campus is FUCKING HUGE.
I've heard you can view the new campus, I'm sitting across the street at the Starbucks. Anyone know where you can actually view it?
I rather not as the fans go to max speed when running Windoes 8/8.1/10 for some reason
Are the new iPhones worth a damn yet or are they still the same old same old?
I rather not as the fans go to max speed when running Windoes 8/8.1/10 for some reason
Same thing with an Air on 7. BUT in OS X Dolphin works well v:v:v

AFAIC, 08:00:20 will always be Sun Microsystems.
Anyone ever try to install a GPU in the PCIe slot of a Core 2 Duo Mac Mini? I've seen a couple people use it for a SATA controller, so it doesn't seem to be locked to the airport card only. Thinking of trying something like this.
