What you guys don't speak Spanish??
I'm bilingual.
I failed my high school Spanish final, to the point where I took Latin for another year :v:
I failed my high school Spanish final, to the point where I took Latin for another year :v:
Ah Latin, the first of the useless languages I learned. When I was traveling around Scandinavia my friend I was with spoke Spanish fluently, passable German and French, and could fake his way through Portuguese pretty well. When people asked me I just had Latin, sign language, and braille.
Ain't those using a mobile CPU? Although if OSX supports multiple GPU's then I don't see the problem, it'll probably only show the boot and maybe also login screen on the built-in GPU though. I actually tried something similar with a Intel Atom Mini-ITX board, worked fine, but the cpu was a obvious bottleneck instead of the single PCI-e lane. Also, isn't it Nvidia that has some sort of "compressions" for PCI-e data so they're less bottlenecked in such cases? [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] Eww, console-itis...
To my knowledge it's using a desktop Core 2 Duo, but a mobile chip is definitely possible considering the thermal design. OS X definitely supports multiple GPUs but I dunno. I wish there was a cheap GPU that plugs directly into a mini PCIe port and is known to work with Macs. Not like I'm gonna play games on the thing, I just want basic GPU acceleration. It'd be even more lovely if the thing was small enough to hack inside the case with a 3D printed bracket. I don't need the disc drive and that frees up a lot of room. Setting up an entire full sized power supply and GPU outside the mini's box seems like poor taste, not to mention a huge hassle. Would be a cool hack. [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] Highly tempting... Despite being too expensive for such an old card and only having VGA out. Without the bracket I miiiiight even be able to fit inside the case. If I can find one of these floating around for real cheap, it might be worth a try. It'd also be kind of nostalgic, since the 8400 GS was my first dedicated GPU :v: Though I worry the 8400 GS would also be too outdated to be usable in El Capitan. There's also a more recent GT 710 card on newegg but I need to look more into OS X compatibility with it. Running a dedicated GPU inside a closed box without much cooling and off a 200W PSU are also big concerns. I wish I could buy a Tegra mobile GPU on a chip with a PCIe bus :v: [editline].[/editline] GT 710 is considerably cheaper and physically smaller. I s'pose I could get it and mount it outside the case as a test, then move forward from there. Could take a crack at writing a kext myself if I need to. Would be fun. I can also easily remove the VGA port, which is a plus.

Maybe if I listen to one of the 10 different Spanish radio stations here I'll learn Spanish.
Maybe if I listen to one of the 10 different Spanish radio stations here I'll learn Spanish.
Or watch novellas.
Or do what I did and fail to learn effectively from 7 years of Spanish class in school.

Speaking of Rochester, what is there to do around here?
Cry because youre not in Syracuse.
Speaking of Rochester, what is there to do around here?
Drink Genesee, eat pizza better than NYC and bike all over the place cause we have a ridiculous amount of trails and nice scenery.
Drink Genesee, eat pizza better than NYC and bike all over the place cause we have a ridiculous amount of trails and nice scenery.
Should have brought my bike, damn. I'll try Genesee if I find it. Any recommended pizza joints? I had some of Salvatore's sheet pizza at an event.
SEND ONE MY WAY! PM ME [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] I MAY HAVE HUNDREDS OF XP KEYS BUT NOT THE DISCS [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] Aw man they're Spanish nvm
Fucking racist
I have a text file of 422 different Windows XP keys I've picked up from disposing school and family computers, 420 of which are 32-bit Pro and Home keys (2 Pro 64-bit :v:) I feel that I am allowed to be picky now [editline]no you morons don't call me pentium 2[/editline] Son no, I do not hoard disks. I hoard one big fucking rtf file [editline]you're gonna post about these fake edits aren't you[/editline] And when the day comes I will make ProZak eat his words
So to change the subject: We're still working on Missing Information in case anyone was wondering. We're removing support for Windows XP in our Steam build.
For some reason, he says that they're using the VS2013 compiler in VS2016? :what:
Got 418, probably a few more laying around in my room to up the number. Google is a wonderful thing.
I know of that file, and these are different [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] Also, the Pro 64-bit version of XP (not the Itanium version :v:) has 3D Pinball. I guess they were referring to the Otanium version when they said that Pinball was broken. So in the end, Pinball DOES work and continues to work on AMD64 builds on Windows.
Should have brought my bike, damn. I'll try Genesee if I find it. Any recommended pizza joints? I had some of Salvatore's sheet pizza at an event.
Salvatores is the most popular chain and it kinda shows -- they have everything but not the best at anything in particular. I'm a fan of Guidas, Pontillos or Caraglios myself but they're dotted in odd spots all over the map.
uh oh... https://twitter.com/tekwendell/status/770082147612884993 [editline]28th August 2016[/editline] Looks like Logan was maybe trying to push Wendell out.
Frankly, Wendell is the only part of the Tek channel(s) that I like. It's not that I hate logan, I just don't get the same enjoyment I do from Wendell. I'd love for him to split off and control the community and make his own hardware oriented channels.

Since when Linus is working with MS?
Since when Linus is working with MS?
Looks like he's enjoying some coffee, while having a conversation with a couple of Microsoft Employees.
It's clearly at a conference or convention, you can see a RedHat banner in the back. Probably just discussing all of MS's new Linux shit or something.
Nah Linux was an inside job. Linus has worked for M$ all along and that's why Linux isn't by far the #1 OS in marketshare.
Who
Linus Torvalds. Original creator of Linux, and currently manager of the project. Seemingly has a personal goal to piss off or offend everyone ever. Tends to be a loud dick.
