[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/crpasm.webm[/vid]
I've been having this problem with my computer for quite a while now and I have no idea where to ask this. Basically whenever I run video games I keep getting in-game models and textures failing or taking a long time to load. It's more notable with high-demanding games that uses more memory (e.g. GTAV, FO4, even Overwatch). It's getting worse over time and I'm suspecting it's a hardware problem but I have no way to pinpoint the issue beside swapping out everything. Some of my guesses are HDD speed or CPU bottleneck issue but I hope it wouldn't be the GPU since it's fairly new.

I'm really running out of option here so I hope this isn't the wrong thread and I won't come off as dumb. Anyone would be able to offer advice for this situation?
So an update to the situation, I've ran 3 full defrag over the past couple of days and it still seems to have the problem. So looks like I'm gonna have to buy a new SSD/HDD?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/kV6q6f9.png[/t]
you've got a hard drive with less than 1% free space
fix that shit and then try defragging
defragging doesn't work when it's that full
I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason it's running like shit
yeah you're running everything off of that drive
seek times must be so fucked up
Going through sample exams for my "Mobile Internet Technology" class when I find this:

It's like this on the 2013, and 2014 exams. Exam is on monday so it's too late to get it reprinted but I bet it's still like that on the 2015 (which they don't provide), and 2016 exams.

considering your HDD is nearly full, I doubt you've managed to defrag GTA's large files, it needs free space to temporarily move things around. You can look at the file list to check what's not defragged, or just defrag certain folders.
4% of 800GB a still a lot of fragmenting

Does anyone else remember when you watched E3 trailers during the conferences and not up to a week before?? What fun is it if I've already seen everything

Log 2 and Log 10 columns are swapped. It's included for people who don't have scientific calculators I guess.
My G602 warranty replacement finally came in. Ticket responses were a little slow but I ain't complainin'
So I found out that a Google Maps tab takes up about 100-300MB of RAM when you have it opened in Google Chrome. I also found out that having multiple Google Maps tabs opened at the same time is a terrible idea and is an easy way to loose all of your RAM. I also found out that reloading WebGL on all of the tabs that broke because of Windows shoving the process into compressed memory/page file tends to really slow down my computer.

Having 11 GiB of memory free with an 8 GiB RAMDisk and a browser open is so comfy. Don't know how I got by on 8 for so long. Multiple times I have forgotten I had a game open in the background and tried to launch another one but Steam complained.

Heh, I forgot I had GTA V running for a few hours. When I Alt-Tabbed back into it, it just loaded a new session as if I randomly disconnected. Also hurray for having an SSD, it makes the page file less slow and terrible. And being able to have Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects open at the same time was pretty neat. 16GB or more RAM forever.

Alright, which one of you fuckers told him.
Did a line run while a business was under some remodeling, no walls and all that. Get a call, run won't work because they decided to move the desk into a completely different part of the building. The freshly renovated part. Thanks for telling us AFTER the construction is all done and buttoned back up.
Currently suffering from the ultimate first-world problem:
Do I play Mirror's Edge Catalyst in triple-portrait or triple-landscape?
[editline]---[/editline]
if only I had 5 monitors and could just do both, and suffer being unable to hit 60fps with max settings in anything released after 2010 :(
Grab a bunch of shitty monitors for the extreme left and right and run triple portrait.
just had a skype interview for a software QA position entirely in japanese
bombed that shit so hard Curtis LeMay would be proud
Anybody in Sweden want to buy a pair of Google glass? Our store got one we need to get sold, we also have a pair of "broken" ones we cant start that will also come with.

We had installed a CPE and a switch at a four unit apartment building awhile back to eliminate the need for four different CPEs on the customer's roof. Our tech went out there later to do another cable run and found this:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/2c2V02T.jpg[/t]
There was an outlet on the ceiling that the tech used for the switch and CPE power supplies. Now it's in the ceiling. There's also no good way to run the cable to the other unit anymore. Whoops.
Got my server today. Boy oh boy.
Dual E5-2650's
8x16GB Ram with up to 24Dimms
16 2.5" SAS bays. Eight hooked to the RAID card
SEVEN PCIe 16x 3.0 slots, with four being full height. Six Ethernet/I imagine Gigabit.
Pair of Redundant 750Watt 80+ Platinum PSU's
H710p RAID controller.
Thing looks completely mint, like we just unboxed it. Paid $170 plus lunch for my friend at the Boca Raton Alehouse.
He has a philly Cheesesteak and I had some grilled salmon.
We had Calamari for an appetiser.
I drank sweet tea
I won't use it for storing data, it's 2.5" SAS only. I'll use a Norco case for my fileserver needs prob.
man, I'm so hyped
Alright boys, I've got some upgrade plans for this summer. I made my rig over the winter on a budget, but now that I've got myself a job (still in high school), what should I do first? If you want to know the current laughable state of my rig, here's all you really need to care about: i3-6100, R9 380 4 GB.
I will do all of these eventually, but what to do first?
for i5-6500
for RX 480 or GTX 1070 (4 or 8 GB?)
for 16 GB of RAM (I have 8, it's a bit cramped for photoshop, chrome and such)
to replace the seagate hdd () with an SSD

You could get a Direct Attached Storage enclosure, hook it up to a RAID / HBA card and go nuts.

Yep, true. I did want to build a very low power machine specifically for that fileserver though. Since it's just holding data and intended to be on 24/7

CPU is the biggest bottle neck.
I'd go CPU>RAM>SSD>GPU

You paid roughly the amount just a completely empty R720 chassis costs on eBay.
Why replace the HDD? Could still use it for dumping stuff.
