Fuck, I am working on a web app right now with node.js and I like to keep my projects in sync with OneDrive.
It took it three hours to download 7,000 files whose size totaled 47MB. That shit is painful.

Yeah I pretty much hate web development because of that shit, but it does make a lot of things easier and unlike most other popular web development tools it doesn't crash or implode if you look at it funny.

We gather UPS put at least 500 pounds of shit on top of the shipping carton before it failed and crushed the machine. Good thing it was insured because the item alone was worth $2800. Shipping was another $300.
A happy ending.

So there was talk about Skype recently, which reminded me of this:
[vid]http://puu.sh/pvotA.mp3[/vid]
(.mp3 in a vid tag, should work)
Sometimes, Skype fucks up my friends audio, and the only way to fix it is to restart the call.
It makes him sound like an adorable alien, I have no idea how this happens :v:

Had the same thing happen with a friend. Except it always happens to him when using Skype, he uses TS instead.

So good news on Arq5, the issue wasn't the client. ACD was having ingestion problems all over the US. They cleared up this evening and I took a nap and it uploaded about 30GB at full steam ahead.
Since it uses my full upload, unlike fucking crashplan, I could make my initial backup in a few months probably, and restoring is so simple. I can install the software on any machine, login to my ACD, use my decryption key and download it through the client.
One thing I am concerned about is functions in terms of organization. If I make my full backup, and then organize files, are those files going to be in the new locations or the old ones. That annoyed me in Crashplan sometimes, I didn't know if it kept files in the original locations or the old ones.

Maxing out my upload.

Well. I'm going to have to get use to 1440x900 as I wait for MSI to respond to my RMA request.
woooooooo
So I'm starting to list the server on Ebay, I made the starting bit 900 and buy it now 1.5k.
I was going to get 1-2 SAS drives... but idk.
Edit: man, I could just get 2 of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-300GB-10K-6G-2-5-SAS-Hard-Drive-Enterprise-R710-R720-R810-R820-R910-740Y7-/201566788296?hash=item2eee511ac8:g:vSsAAOSw8aNXGT6M And might help sell it since it's a complete machine.
Anyone here have any RMA experience with MSI?

If they're terrible I'll just buy a new matx board since at this point I have very little patience for anyone/anything.
Making a DVD has got to be one of my biggest headaches of this year so far.
iDVD feels like it's not even made for humans to use.
I can't even buy those drives, whenever I get to checkout the site locks up.
Also opinions on local vs shipped for the server?

If people are gonna pay for shipping who's gonna stop 'em? Just make sure pickup is an option (and that it's clear in the description)
Looking for a solid SD/CF card reader, figured this would be sufficient https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00VAGX6MW/ref=sr_ob_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1466152751&sr=8-5
Also I have a friend coming from the States and I'm trying to think of crap I can ship to his place from Amazon (he has Amazon Prime so things shippable with Amazon Prime would be ideal), then he would bring it over. Stuff that isn't available on Amazon Canada or would be cheaper than buying it here in Canada. I'm just going through the AmazonBasics on Amazon USA since there's way more selection of stuff there than in Canada.
Any recommendations?
Already have some AmazonBasics stuff like the polarizer lens and 4 piece packing cube set

Just don't have a buy it now price for something like that.
Found this on ebay, basically for free:
[thumb]https://ssli.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTAyNFg3OTc=/z/MQsAAOSw-4BXY1C-/$_20.JPG[/thumb]
- Toshiba Satellite 310 CDT
- Intel Pentium MMX 200 MHz
- 32MB RAM and 2GB HDD
- it even has a single USB port
However I'm currently using a raspberry pi 3 and wow, I don't even want to imagine what that thing must feel like. But then just having it for tinkering would be nice...

I got one like that for free a couple years ago but it had a 75mhz MMX and 16mb RAM. I think I got rid of it when I moved.

What do you mean?
What do you mean?
I mean generally with stuff like that I let it auction up with no buy it now. It adds a bit of an awkward factor to it IMO and I've found my stuff is less likely to sell. Also I wouldn't bother with the drives. Anyone buying something like that isn't likely to want to use the drives anyways.

Hmm, you have a point. I'm wanting to certainly get what I deserve from it, but I did pay just about 200 for it. But selling the server for 1500 would net me a 5960x, new set of ram and Mobo...
So should I start the bid at 900? Leave off B.I.N. no reserve?
As for the drives, it's a tossup. I was thinking, having everything needed for the server to boot up and be usable might attract more people to it. Even though I agree with your reasoning, the person probably wants their own drives for it. It's like redoing the kitchen or bath before selling a house.

I'd equate it more to buying a new couch for the living room when selling the house and saying it's included. It might look really nice there and it's convenient that they won't have to have a couch, but likely they already have one or intend on getting the specific couch they want.
