I have no idea what is going on with my system, files are randomly getting corrupted.
First I thought it might be my HDD but everything looks healthy so my next bet is its W10 doing something it shouldn't.
I mean I don't see anything out of place with my HDD.

Monoprice is selling a $200 printer that from all reviews I'm reading is actually quite decent.
Like, this thing beats out the $600 printers from 2 years ago kinda good.
I'm totally buying one as soon as its back in stock, which is roughly 8th of july.
Have you changed the SATA cable? As stupid as it sounds.
Did have my case open a while back and issues started to show after that, might have the cable just slightly loose which is causing some issues with transfer, funny that the system actually works though if it is loose.
Guess I'll check it later.
My friend has a sagecomm 3864 and his modem is reporting a line speed of 9700kbps, but over wifi, (to the modem itself and an AP) he only gets about 2mbps, as well as on ethernet. We can't figure out why the hell this is happening as the line speed is a healthy 9700kbps. We can switch to the netgear dng2200v4 he has but that doesn't support the NBN he's getting soon unlike the sagecom 3864 does, and if we could fix this that'd be great as he wouldn't have to buy a new modem.

(yes it's wifi but he's right next to the modem and the ethernet is the same and same on an AP aswell)
I noticed the flicker but that's about it.

Oh there's a big black box.
[editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
I found another one.
Jeez you can't hide your errors.
I know they use Premiere CC and recently there's a new update (2015.3) that might fix the rendering issues that they might be facing with an older version..?
And honestly I think this is a flop.

I think the Razer Blade 14 is something nice and usable. I mean it fits my "ideal laptop" criteria of a 13-14 inch display, quad-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, thin, light, decent battery life. So far, most of the laptops that fall into this criteria have been mostly gaming laptops tho.
where can I buy spare PSU cables? bought a Fractal Design Integra M 450W for my grandfathers rig and I've used up all of the SATA power cables and there are still two things that need power, a HDD and the DVD writer. I have a few spare from my own Corsair PSU but I don't want to risk that. anyone know if Fractal Design and Corsair PSU cables are compatible? if not, I'll have to buy new cables from somewhere
Just get some SATA power splitters? Modular cables don't generally follow any standard so never use them interchangeably
Just get some SATA power splitters? Modular cables don't generally follow any standard so never use them interchangeably
Nonsense. Use em everywhere.
Every harddrive loves getting 12v up the ass.

I recommend sleep on a regular basis
It happened again.
Woke up to a text from my dad with ="Any update on the internet problems"
-"Wait, is it out again?"
="Yea?"
-"I guess they killed it again"
So I REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEactivated it through the system.
Yeah I'm 100% saying its my W10 install thats fucked, now the photos app refuses to open just out of the blue.
Time to do a reset.
[editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
Seriously the fuck is this bullshit?

I have one of these, it's uncomfortable, and any development for apps on it is non-existent. I pretty much use it only if I want to play local mp games that need to use the same keyboard. Not really good for hotkeys either.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM NICE.
And people ask me why I dislike this pile of trash OS, its because of shit like this.
A chkdsk did that, a fucking chkdsk.

I've always used a nostromo N52 and its default key remapper. Worked great.
Found an old hard drive in my pile of j̶u̶n̶k̶ totally useful stuff. So I plugged it in wondering if I'd left anything on it and why I retired it in the first place
Reallocated_Sector_Ct ... 1951
oh... that's why
Looks like I should have gotten that new CPU and MOBO.
Having lots of issues with my Marvell controller dropping one of my SSD's and HD's. System is just hanging so much lately.
It's really unstable. Wish I had the cash to get a new core-component set. This is killing me.
Edit: Really tempted to just get an Amazon credit card and but the stuff I need now.
Server have any interest yet?
Oh, no I never got around to listing it. I'm feeling overwhelmed with stuff yet I'm not really all that busy.
I'm running a full Defender scan then reboot and running a full MS memory test overnight. THen I'll try to list it tomorrow.
Edit: Then I might just reinstall windows 10 tomorrow. Been on it since August and while I've liked it I've had a bit of program problems and want to start fresh.
i actually think those cat ear headphones look cute :pudge:
[editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
but you are better off getting standard-issue cat ears though

new kickstarter idea: replacement headbands for headphones with cat ears
we sell them at a 200% markup and rack in that weeb money

I got a pair of raccoon ear headphones.
Hey, don't judge me!
Question about gcc: I have to compile some 32 bit stuff sometimes so I have gcc-multilib instead of gcc on Arch. Can I still compile stuff for x86_64 or am I limited to x86 with gcc-multilib? If I can compile x86_64 stuff with gcc-multilib, how do I specify?

i'm glad to know that even if we do fall into a cyberpunk dystopia, cat-eared maids will be a thing.

-m32 and -m64 switches. You can guess which is which.

A friend had one of those, and I tried it on. The whole mood ring aspect to it is pretty cool, but that ear clip thing hurts after not too long.

Is i386 the default?
[editline]23rd June 2016[/editline]
Also I think someone in this thread earlier was asking if anyone knew about any novelty x86 OS's that weren't TempleOS or Unix-based, and I just came across this thing called MenuetOS.
Here's the description from the website:
MenuetOS is a pre-emptive, real-time and multiprocessor Operating System in development for the PC written entirely in 32/64 bit assembly language. Menuet64 is released under License and Menuet32 under GPL. Menuet supports 32/64 bit x86 assembly programming for smaller, faster and less resource hungry applications.
Menuet isn't based on other operating system nor has it roots within UNIX or the POSIX standards. The design goal has been to remove the extra layers between different parts of an OS, which normally complicate programming and create bugs.
Menuet's application structure isn't specifically reserved for asm programming since the header can be produced with practically any other language. However, the overall application programming design is intended for 32/64 bit asm programming. Menuet programming is fast and easy to learn. Menuet's responsive GUI is easy to handle with assembly language. And Menuet64 is capable of running Menuet32 applications.
If you're still out there, enjoy.
So I can't even reset my W10 install, it just errors out.
Fuck me. :v:
Considering seeing if it'll update to an insider build just so it replaces whats broken but that'll likely break even more stuff.
I always prefer to simply nuke the disk and start over.
IMO, it's the option that gives the least amount of headaches down the line. Also a 100% Guarantee that your installation is completely fresh with no possibility of broken leftovers.
thx

Not sure for gcc-multilib, it's a compile-time flag for gcc, run gcc -v, it'll give have the default target in it.
That MediaCreationTool is screaming at you. You'll eventually run out of options and you'll HAVE to start from scratch. Which you're going to hate oh so much I already know.
If it gets any worse then yeah, for now I can deal with the shitty photos app not working, not like I don't already have 20 alternatives installed to view gifs. :v:
