I've heard niantic banned people for doing that in ingress

Right as I post that he mentions it.

There's a car show this weekend in this area. Me and some buddies are gonna walk around. :)

No that's not me.
Sounds like it's something with the SSD. It's possible (Perhaps likely?) that it is windows (Access patterns, etc) but hard to say without proper inspection. It's AES-XTS so it's just block-level encryption. Dont have to worry about filesystem or anything like that, so it's confusing what the problem may be.
Benchmarks don't seem to be much slower than pre-encryption so it doesn't matter. Dunno what's up with that queued random write. Before / After.

Is USB type-C less fragile than USB micro?
Is USB type-C less fragile than USB micro?
Significantly. It's the biggest reason why I love my Lumia 930 so much, I dont have to deal with fucking Micro USB which I've had the worst luck in the world with. Connectors themselves are significantly more rigid, stronger, thicker, etc in both male and female.
I can't imagine going back to micro USB. just being able to insert the cable both ways is so convenient
Is USB type-C less fragile than USB micro?
I got some USB-C devices and it's noticeably more robust, IMO
Edit: Oh man, I'd love to see U.2 PCIe breakout cables to a riser, that'd be awesome.
Cheers, thanks for the info guys.

Ok t-thank you Amazon
I love the Type C connector on my 6P. It doesn't feel like the connector is going to break in the phone whenever I use the device while it is charging.

I've had this happen with MicroUSB. I've also had female connectors break to the point where I had to hold the charger in with significant pressure for it to charge. I hate MicroUSB.

i got one of these back in november and it still works fine, not even loose so it slides out by itself
and i have my phone in bed while it's charging so it gets beaten up more than usually too, it's gotten a spiral on the micro connector part but no connection problems
wtf do u guys do to ur phones ive never had any connector break ever
I'm surprised it isn't more charred than that personally.
So I just bought a bunch of AmazonBasics-brand stuff because of the Prime Day sale earlier. It's hard to toss up a 35% discount. Also it looks the previous "Amazon Prime users in Canada get 20% off AmazonBasics stuff" promotion is no longer active. Oh well, I wish I got more stuff but some of it was out of stock at the time because I made the order on the last hour, but had it in my card in the morning. Also I should have bought 2 of those tiny 64GB USB drives rather than just 1 large 128GB one. It probably would have been more useful to have two of them but oh well.

Got this bad boy ordered for cheap :excited:

I'm thinking if this was actually from a lightning strike there wouldn't BE any more cable
[editline]13th July 2016[/editline]
PoE problems maybe?

Too bad the shipping is murder haha
Well I think I've found a new barebones router to suggest. This. A single band N router with gigabit ports, stable and featured firmware (comes with an Open-WRT derivative so it should run DD-WRT just fine), and is less than $40. Build quality seems pretty solid so far too. I've already deployed about 15 of them.

Looks like lightning or a PoE fry. Have had plenty of both. With lightning the whole end is black more often than not, but I've had it look like that as well.
look at this fucking garbage lol

Pretty much. I bought a 6450 just for HDMI/DVI. Still a massive leap in performance over the Nvidia 6150 SE. :v:
jc I just got this Logitech G402 for Christmas and my middle mouse button is already getting difficult to register when I try clicking it

How about we play 'post the shittiest GPU you have'.
Here's an NVIDIA P73 (or MS-8878). I've got version 130, whatever that means.

With this beaut you get 64MB of DDR-SD RAM, a modern VGA output and an S-Video connector so you'll always be able to connect to anything!
I pulled this piece of crap out of an ancient family PC (using a Pentium 4 processor) which was only very recently upgraded. Good riddance to that.

i mean yeah, building a computer does have a pretty high barrier for entry, but i'm pretty sure like 70% of the people who know how to build a computer today had their first computer assembled by someone else anyway
did nobody tell this article author as a child that it was ok to ask for help sometimes, or

I've got a GeForce 2 MX in my shitbox, not sure whether that beats you but I think it does since mine's SDR RAM.

But how would they ever write shitty click-bait articles if they acted like rational human beings
