Haha, I posted that! Check the username on /r/techsupportgore.
I think that was plugged into a Motorola PTP300. Interestingly enough, once we removed the lightning arrestor on the tower and in the cabinet, then reterminated the cable top and bottom, the radio worked perfectly fine. The Cisco 3750 and the Motorola PMP100 900MHz AP were fried, though at least we didn't have to replace or realign any links that day. Cambium/Motorola stuff isn't always the fastest out there, but it can take a beating.
I think I accidentally deleted a photo but we had our shit get hit by lightning a couple weeks ago. Connector was completely fried, made a chip on our mikrotik 1100 straight up explode.

Maybe Motherboard should hire Terry Crews to be their tech consultant, he seems to actually know what he's doing
He's true to his form. going POWWRRRRRR with a 1KW PSU for a simple build.
[editline]13th July 2016[/editline]
I tweeted out again my server and in about 10minutes got a message asking "Is it 1 processor or 2 processor?"
Was that from one of you? How could you need to ask that after even just looking at the listing title.
wtf do u guys do to ur phones ive never had any connector break ever
Nothing out of the ordinary, but when you have an OTG cable or charging cable constantly hanging out of the device, it's likely to weaken.
I never should have got a VPS. Watching things download at 150x my line speed just makes me mildly depressed.

Don't hotlink from Facebook, they change URLs around.
Just FYI, Amazon had their cloud drive 12month subscription for $48 bucks for prime members. 20% off. Don't know if it's still active.
So I got a year of unlimited cloud storage and a subscription to Arq 5 and all future updates for like $130. And now I can install Arq 5 on as many computers as I want to backup to ACD.
Got bored yesterday, never done any CAD, so I downloaded FreeCAD.

A guy on Freenode said he'll try and print it, so I might get a 3D print of it that I can use for realsies.
It's a powerbank mount for a bike. Because, you know. There's something new out, that eats cellphone batteries for lunch, and requires moving in the real world.

All the cards basically scale with same percentage as the CPU load drop, meaning AMD is looking at ~30-50% improvements, while NVidia is only getting ~5-10%. It was already known, but it seems like AMD really needs to fix its drivers, and not in the "it's crashes!"-sense - it seems like the CPU overhead is holding back their cards significantly. Maybe this stuff can't be generalized across the board, but if AMD could improve their cards' performance by 20% just through software, their efficiency wouldn't look previous-gen, and they would be much more competitive.
Obviously Doom might just be a fluke, but fuck me if it isn't; AMD should really have pumped millions more into its drivers.
Edit: Also worth pointing out, of course the absolute frame rates may be even higher on DX11 and DX12 making this largely pointless gains.
Fuck this day.. I had planned this in advance even. Gonna do a film shoot in 10 minutes. The UPS for our servers has broken down and need battery replacements, and when we do we get sparks due to us not really knowing about how to do it in series, there's a massive lightning storm above us right now, I've slept for 3 hours and my stomach is a mess.
End this already please I'm gonna die of stress

Shit I thought that I would be okay with just a phone mount for my bike but I guess I am fucked now, time to buy a powerbank .

Who wants to bet that Nvidia will just lower their profit margins to cut into their higher margins?

To be honest I'm expecting them to with the 1060. I thought they would at launch too, though. But I can see them doing it a bit down the line.

OpenGL performance is significantly worse then the DirectX performance on the AMD drivers, and NVidia also has some OpenGL extensions that support features that AMD doesn't.
That might seem like a massive performance increase, but Doom is the only AAA OpenGL release in years, and the results might be astoundingly smaller in a Dx11 to Dx12/Vulkan port.
The result of their benchmarks can be a lot crazier when you don't have an "i7 6700K 4.6ghz" tho, especially some AMD CPUs or some older non-overclock Intel hardware might see boosts 2-3x as big.

any idea on what this could be? ruled out memory and bios
i feel like i'm gonna pass out due to all of this, the ups was completely dead, new batteries didn't help
This argument makes no sense though. You are telling people to get ripped off, they might as well buy a pre-built from their local store.

If you're willing to pay a premium and heavily sacrifice gaming performance for convenience and ease of use, you might as well get a Mac. With a prebuilt Windows PC you'd still have to deal with the software side.
Basically "I'm doing something completely unnecessary with my computer so you should just buy an apple so you don't have to"
That odd feeling when you're about to get stuff in the mail.. like 3 or 4 boxes of it.
I blame Amazon.
Finally had a good look at the new RX486.

PP CC 2015.3 is beginning to piss me off. Randomly some files won't read the audio from them. When it works in another project. Or in 2015.2.
I got a bunch of video files I work with for my job and like 30% of them just decide now have corrupted audio when I can throw them in Media Encoder and transcode them just fine, but I never had to do this.
Welp. I've placed the order.
Should have everything by the end of next week.

Are the files already on the timeline? Have you rendered audio on the timeline at all? If you did, then you should delete the rendered files and see what happens.

I don't think it has nothing to do with the timeline. Premiere thinks the files in the project panel now have no working audio. Even if I delete it and reimport it.
I fixed it by renaming the directory the files were in, and then relinking them.
Fucking stupid though.
I love Corsair.
Discovered that one of the tabs that holds the front of my case on was broken and put in an RMA yesterday night.
RMA was approved this afternoon and they don't even want the old panel back.

Well then, that is pretty odd.
Pokemon go hasn't been out a week yet and I broke my charging cable. :v:
I can't afford the data plan to be playing this Pokemon Go thing.
