Internet was being so shit that SSH sessions were laggy as fuck and network tab in resource monitor wasn't showing shit despite the interface being maxxed out at line speed. Of course it was fucking Windows 7 in a VM deciding that it didn't like updates being off and took it upon itself to turn them on and download 2.5 GiB of shit I didn't need. Thanks Microsoft. I'm gonna try reinstalling OBS and leave the video recording to the default settings (besides the audio input-related stuff) and see if I can actually record my screen for half an hour without it breaking the video file.
some kids trashed one of the new ip cameras we mounted and we didn't get it on video [t]https://rp.braxnet.org/scr/1468916675568.png[/t] BUT NO MORE, I HAVE THE POWER
Those are some shitty cameras...
Those are some shitty cameras...
they're actually surprisingly good [t]https://rp.braxnet.org/scr/1468918068271.jpg[/t] middle of the night, my office. i want to avoid exposing any of this so
am i late to the HDD uptime posting? this 200GB hard drive is still used ever since i got my second pc in 2007 July. using it every day
Assuming you want the .bz2's to stay in the directory the files were originally in, I added -Recurse and changed the archive name to include the full destination path.
$workingdirectory = "c:\Fraps" #directory to compress $filelist = Get-ChildItem -Recurse $workingdirectory #list files in directory $7zip = 'C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe' #7z executable foreach ($file in $filelist) #loop for each file { $archivename = $file.FullName + '.bz2' #create archive name & cd $workingdirectory #switch to directory to compress $AllArgs = @('a', '-tbzip2', $archivename, $file.FullName) #create arguments for command & $7zip $AllArgs #run 7zip command }
Powershell is hella cool.
It indeed is, holy shit. Now I just want to find a way to remove the uncompressed files once 7zip finishes up.
I was thinking of getting a hard drive enclosure such as this one https://www.amazon.ca/ORICO-Screw-Less-3-5-inch-External-Enclosure/product-reviews/B00GAML7OK/ref=dpx_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1 but the reviews says something along the lines of, it "has CE and CCC marking but no CSA, UL, or other North American certification. Selling this power supply in Canada is probably illegal." Should I be worried or should I assume it's fixed by now?
It indeed is, holy shit. Now I just want to find a way to remove the uncompressed files once 7zip finishes up.
add an arg "-oc:\output\" ?
I lost a raid array due to my raid card shitting itself. And it's also unrecoverable. Lessons were learned.
Weren't you using some obscure card from like 2003 and I was like "hey you should look into software raid cause that's gonna be impossible to recover from" [editline]19th July 2016[/editline] And remember everyone, raid is not a backup etc
I'm gonna need someone with a good sense of tech savvy: I recently got myself a DelanClip, a cheap IR LED tracking alternative to TrackIR. This entales a PS3 Eye camera. The Eye camera haven't been any problems so far. Got the CL drivers and the CL-Eye Test program shows feed. Good. Now comes this really tricky shit. Some time back, i got this IP Camera Adapter from here, http://ip-webcam.appspot.com, which worked perfectly with an IP camera app for the phone. No biggie. HOWEVER, this IP adapter driver gets in the way of my using the Eye camera in the tracking software. And when i empty this folder, which is the only shit i can really find related to it - But it still shows up as an installed device: The program isn't exactly super advanced. But when i have removed the folder and run shortcut in the start menu, the folder fucking magically restores itself like this - And the IP camera program just starts itself back up, like nothing had ever happened. So my question is: How do i fucking nuke this program or driver or WHATEVER is keeping this shit going by itself, and naturally, get rid of the MJPEG device as well?
mmm R710 is on the way
I have two IP cameras here and I don't think I've ever seen either of them work. I've never even found out what their fucking IP addresses were.
Not really a computer thing, but I just got a Betacam SP UVW-1800 VCR for $50. In working order, it makes a good time base corrector.
mmm R710 is on the way
I really want to pick up an R420
*snip for now*
I have two IP cameras here and I don't think I've ever seen either of them work. I've never even found out what their fucking IP addresses were.
do a reset and check the dhcp server? that's what we do
do a reset and check the dhcp server? that's what we do
Some cheaper ones have a static IP set from the factory. Although with a packet capture you could probably figure it out.
God dammit, what the fuck is going on. The first time i plug this in and don't even install any drivers, the god damn camera works just fine, then when i unplug, and plug it back in, it no longer works, windows can't seem to install it anymore, and the one driver that supposedly was made for this, only gives me this result: [t]https://my.mixtape.moe/dnwfav.png[/t] Can nobody in here help me with this nightmare?
Just finished shipping off the server, had UPS make a custom box for it. Insured it for 1k. Gave it a signature required. Came to 150 total.
Oh come the fuck on [t]http://i.imgur.com/ViAlJq9.png[/t] [editline]19th July 2016[/editline] Halp
Oh come the fuck on [t]http://i.imgur.com/ViAlJq9.png[/t] [editline]19th July 2016[/editline] Halp
Tried installing the driver manually? Googling ps3eye drivers gave me some results but I don't know how trust worthy those are.
Tried installing the driver manually? Googling ps3eye drivers gave me some results but I don't know how trust worthy those are.
If i try that, windows just says that the driver for the device is updated, yet going right back out on the device manager, it still has a yellow warning. [editline]19th July 2016[/editline] And yes, i have tried to remove the driver, reinstall it, with- or without the camera plugged in, but the second the moment comes, it just goes "nope, not installed"
welp, today i've put the ps3 on sale
Maybe disabling automatic device driver detection and then doing it? I have no real Idea since I don't own the product.
Looks like I maybe able to do a rebuild my PC soon, going to be glad to get shot of my i5 2400, 760 and the lack of SATA slots. Question is whether I decide to go overboard or not.
Here I am with my FX-8320 patiently waiting for Zen to hopefully not suck [editline]19th July 2016[/editline] Also it's gonna be the dreaded new cpu socket + new ram slot combo that requires upgrading three parts at once
Well for me its primarily the parts reaching the end of their useful lives (i5 2400 is jittery for MMU games in Dolphin and rather slow in re-encoding), 760 sadly appears to be choking with more recent games and even id Tech 6 couldn't save me in Doom and more pressingly the amount of blu-ray ripping I do appears to of taken a toll on my 3TB hard drive so I'm going to need more sooner rather than later.
I got a buddy wanting to buy my Shure SM7b off me, that's enough to get like 64GB of DDR4 I thinkz. My Baby Bottle mic finally got fixed after a month at blue, hopefully i get it by monday.
06 SAS MR LSI. And yeah that's what failed. Spat my entire array iut. All drives marked unconfig good. Next restart freezes on F/W initializing system halts before motherboard post screen.
There are programs out there that can recover failed RAID arrays. I used this once to recover a RAID0 array when the controller died. http://www.r-studio.com/ If you don't know the original settings the RAID had then it will take even more fiddling around. It's not impossible though.
