redstone isn't OUT YET jesus CHRIST so you want no apps installed right would you like to manually make an http request to mozilla.com/releases/fx/fx_stable.exe when you start an oobe
i have no idea what redstone is, but i read that the option would be disabled so i was surprised to still see it there what are you even talking about? like just put the default stuff on there, no fuss about it, don't bring any shovelware on there like an oem manufacturer
Why are you so mad at the concept some people don't like how forced Microsoft has become with Windows 10 as a whole, and ontop of that pretty much forcing their services down your throat at any given opportunity?
because i'm looking at it from microsoft's point of view? tech nerds have the "if it's not broke don't fix it" point of view that point of view is what led to xp being used in 2008 frankly, microsoft doesn't give a damn about what "tech nerds" think anyways they're not the primary demo of windows anyways
Watching other CIPWTTKT people fight over which OS is better really feels meta to me for some reason...
Everyone should just use OS X and call it a day.
I will go for the no home server route first, it's probably gonna be easier since the YouTuber would have to get the connection to the server setup, maybe their Internet isn't going to be good enough for the uploading, or maybe they want to actually stream properly on Twitch and not to my server at the same time, affecting their upload speed or something like that.
nginx RTMP relay can relay it to twitch and save it at the same time if you go that route so that's not an issue.
I feel like it's 2007 and we're brewing a flame war about OS X vs Windows, except it's even more dumb since it's two different versions of Windows that are almost identical.
holy shit apple vs pc flamewar what is this 2006?
nginx RTMP relay can relay it to twitch and save it at the same time if you go that route so that's not an issue.
YouTuber has yet to get back to me on whether or not they are doing any live streaming or not. If they want to, then it's more stuff to set up. I believe Twitch has some sort of option to save the video you send for the live streaming. If so, it might be worth having the redundancy of having it locally on the YouTuber's computer, and on Twitch after broadcasting. Not sure about the quality and if it's a paid feature or not. It will really depend on what the YouTuber wants. Also they are going to pay me, not sure if I want to do it per video or hourly. Will most likely want to do it hourly since they pay for additional changes, etc. but we will see what they think of it and what their budget is. [editline]20th July 2016[/editline] In the meantime, I should figure out how to do long screen recordings locally on my end using OBS. I have yet to reinstall it and retry it. I wanted to make a web series about video editing and I think I've delayed the project enough.

I regret nothing.
Got in the SSD I ordered on amazon prime day. The first time trying to copy everything over ended up with a BSOD because it couldn't load the OS. This time, I'm cloning it with Ease ToDo Backup. I hope it works and I don't have to put that HDD back in the laptop or do a fresh install. That HDD is on it's last leg....
I regret nothing.
i was wondering who could have posted it
What are the recommended mice these days? Taken 7 years but this Lachesis has started resetting on loop until it gets replugged. Need at least two buttons on each side (if it can't do functions like lock windows it needs to be able to do macros like CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + something and I'll handle it in my own program), wired, able to set to 2000 DPI. Don't want one of those RAT mice or whatever that has 101 moving parts or full numpads or anything. Seems Razer went to shit at some point between then and now and I'd rather not get another one.
I'm loving my Logitech G402 and I've seen a few other people in this thread with them. Dunno if better mice have come our recently but I'm definitely happy with it.
I swear by my G602. I don't like having to deal with wires, the battery life is great, it's a comfy mouse and it seems to work fine for gaming. Basically any Logitech G-series, they're still making great mice.
G602 masterrace checking in. Can confirm mouse is top-tier.
If only Logitech's software can be better. Super annoying to have to force close the Logitech Gaming Software and reopen it half the time I wake my laptop from sleep. Aside from that, it's pretty good in terms of using it to set up macros and such. It's just annoying that I can't copy the set up from one game to another. On a side note, still enjoying my G700s. Really wished that the battery life wasn't so shit, even with a replacement high capacity rechargable AA battery. Oh well, I sometimes leave it plugged in with the cable anyways. The on-board memory profiles and such is super cool. I can have it set for video editing and what not and it makes video editing on other peoples computers so much faster (assuming they didn't fuck with the keyboard shortcuts).
They can argue for days and still be fools for not using TempleOS.
That's a weird way to say windows XP.
what are you talking about?
I should have been more specific, I was referencing the G13. You have three layout settings that you can choose from, and have it application specific. Now let's say I am video editing and I want JKLIO,./ and some other keys the same, but everything else to be different. There is no way to copy from one application-specific memory to another, so I have to set it up from scratch for the second and third memory. Reason why I have more than one memory is so I can have one for each phase of editing. [editline]20th July 2016[/editline]
I don't even install it personally, don't really care about changing the binds of the extra buttons.
You're missing out. Think of all of the buttons that you press all the time. Think of all of the times you have to move your mouse cursor to minimize the window, or move your left hand to press something on the keyboard such as closing the tab, refreshing it, or opening a new tab.
wow, thats really dumb. i had no idea that profiles options werent fully available to all devices.
It is, just like in the screen shot you posted. It's just that I can't copy one layout to another within the settings for the same application. There's three memories that I can switch between within the settings for each application. So let's say you're playing a game and you have different buttons for each vehicle you step into. WASD would be the same but everything else wouldn't. There's no way to set that up as such for other programs where WASD isn't the main thing.
Optical sensor is completely dead now, only clicking works. Is hyper-scrolling any good? Seems like it would be nice for those shitty new websites that override normal scroll and require hundreds of metres of scrolling to get to the bottom .

Seems like it would be nice for those shitty new websites that override normal scroll and require hundreds of metres of scrolling to get to the bottom .
Hyperscrolling is awesome, that's pretty much why I picked the G700s over the G602s and why I will probably stick with Logitech (since they probably have patents on it). The G602s doesn't have this hyperscrolling feature but it has a low tactile feedback horizontal scroll wheel. It's not as "free spinning" and won't let you spin down web pages super fact but it's ok. The effortless scrolling on web pages is pretty nice. I pretty much have hyperscrolling enabled most of the time except when playing games where the scroll wheel is for something i.e. weapon changing. I can never go back to a mouse without it.
Was looking on ebay for "lot of harddrives" and found so many decent deals, but also many like "lot of 20 ST3000DM001" And you have to scroll to the bottom to see they're all dead. Bunch of sneaky fuckers. But for the deals where they mention them working, really can't wait to have some sort of big box to throw them all in. I don't know why I find this stuff so addicting. Edit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-50-80GB-SATA-3-5-Desktop-HDD-hard-drive-Discounted-Price-/222192361035?hash=item33bbb25e4b:g:PMsAAOxyB0VRxFsA lol, I wanna raid a bunch of these old geezers
RAID 0 them, then use a stopwatch to count how long it takes for it to break.
Sounds like another useless video for Luke to make.
Sounds like another useless video for Luke to make.
It actually does sound like something they'd do...
That's very expensive for 4 TB of storage. Ordered a G502, going to have to put up with this awful old budget Logitech mouse (somehow have like 4 of the fuckers somewhere) until at least monday. [editline]21st July 2016[/editline] Thank fuck the mousewheel on the old mouse still works because the cheap one is beyond shit.
