So, I am about to go into upgrading my currently build, and I just used this amazing site pcpartpicker, so I put together some parts that I went over.. Would anyone take the time to review over them and tell me if it's good or not, thanks :) CPU Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard Asus Z77-A ATX LGA1155 Motherboard Memory G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Superclocked ACX Video Card Case NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply NZXT HALE82 V2 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YsLddC)

JC2 has some pretty good parts on there(talking about the 770 and 4690k though if overclocking the 212 EVO won't do well), but I would definitely go with 2x4 gb of ram as opposed to 1 dim to get the dual channels. Also instead of a Barracuda for the extra money a WD black will perform better, and won't die within weeks of purchase.

The Hyper 212 Evo will perform fine for decent overclocks. I have used it on a few of my lower end builds and I never had a CPU overheat with one. Seagate Barracuda HDD's will not die after a week of usage. Whoever told you that is a fanboy. I use WD Cav. Blacks as a personal preference, but Seagate performs neck and neck with WD Cav. Black and you can buy a 2 tb Seagate for the price of a 1tb WD.
I personally use the H100i for my 4690k. I have my CPU overclocked to 4 GHz and it runs very cool in the case. Also I reccomend the H100i for the Corsair link software that it includes. As for the drives seagate makes, I have had experiences on several occasions with the drives showing signs of failure after only 1-2 months(without trauma or a lot of heat on the drive may I add). Maybe the 2 were duds, but the performance given while they worked was nowhere near the cav black.
4ghz is very low for what an h100i can obtain. The 212 evo is plenty good for a moderate overclock. I had my 4670k at 4.5ghz on my 212 evo
so... nothing wrong with my build?
so... nothing wrong with my build?
JCGamer suggested a more up to date build, and others made their own contributions to it. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vMKkWZ Here's something I threw together.

Oh god... Oh God... You suggested windows 8.1 to me... Y-You, suggested windows 8.1 EWWWWW. Get that off of here please. But, all seriousness windows 8.1 is really bad in my opinion. Anyways, I think I am going to go with my build since I don't want a ssd nor a really expensive cooler because i'm not overclocking and i'll just use the standard one that comes with the intel i5.
Why are you spending 20 dollars extra on a k(unlocked) processor with no hopes to overclock. Quite dumb. Windows 8.1 is a fantastic operating system. 8 was a bit of a wreck and felt like it wasn't finished, but all the issues were addressed and fixed with windows 8.1. I suggest putting the 20 you would spend towards an ssd for your boot drive.
