Pulled the trigger, I've been waiting for months!
Buying this when I wake up later. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] Finally moving on from my Q6600/680i. They served me well.
Make sure you wake up soon, everyone has been frothing at the mouth for these since the reviews came out last week. I foresee lots of "out of stock"
I agree. Thankfully my dad is waking me up ~8AM and I'll order straight away.
I can only wish... now waiting for decent combo deals to pop up [editline]wef[/editline] wait can't you just order right now?
My new build will be: 2600K OC'd GTX 570 GTX 260 (PhysX, extra monitors) ASUS P67 Deluxe Antec 1200 8GB Corsair XMS3
I'm probably moving on from my Q6600/680i build too!
broken page fix? [editline]wefe[/editline] why did people suddenly stop posting
broken page fix?
Thank you, it was driving me crazy.
Was looking up where Newegg is based and then [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8914988/Captures/rrrrrr075-20110109-000432.png[/img_thumb] so I went to Google and then [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8914988/Captures/rrrrrr076-20110109-000440.png[/img_thumb] What the fuck?
Fail, it's Chinese Yen, not Japanese. 6.7 or something yen is 1 dollar, so that divided by 6.7 is roughly above $200. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] It seems like the P67 from ASUS are quite pricey. The P8P67 is $160, and has no SLI, while this champion, costing $150, has lots of goodness: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157217&cm_re=p67-_-13-157-217-_-Product

Oh shit so many motherboards which the fuck should I get? Also holy fuck they're cheap. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] Never seen a mobo like that, what's the point of covering it?

Wow, some of these motherboards also have UEFI on them. Damn!
Wow, some of these motherboards also have UEFI on them. Damn!
Hell yeah I want a MoBo without BIOS (mostly because I've never had one, so it should be interesting). As long as they don't require me to sell my ass on the highway for a few years to afford one.
Cant wait to get my hands on the Intel Core i7-2600K. I'm most likely going to buy it later though when the price drops.
Can someone do a quick check and make sure everything is good? ((I'm basically getting a new everything) Also do I need the P67 Deluxe or can I go for just the normal P67? [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] Actually I'm probably switching to the normal ASUS P8P67. (Total 1250, including peripherals.)
Try and get an MSI mobo if that one doesn't have UEFI.
That ASUS mobo is a bit overpriced, in my opinion. The ASRock Extreme4 or an MSI mobo with SLI.
Can I use the same LGA1156 mounts for my after market CPU cooler or will I need to get new ones?
It's a cooler which blows cold air over the motherboard, I'm not sure exactly how it works but every review I've read says it's not a gimmick.
Yeah it also seems the materials are much better quality than normal. Though dust has to be a nightmare in there, hopefully the cover is easy to remove.
So if you know jack shit about computers, how do you know which one to get?
I had a hard time sleeping last night because of this :byodood: Well, off to building it. https://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/100234/hello-fp Is this worth it? I'm taking the GPU & HDD from my old pc.
Would this at all be possible to install on a laptop? :ohdear: [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] I really, really know nothing about hardware. I know what specifications I have on this laptop, I know what I can and can't run, I can do pretty accurate assumptions on what settings I will be able to run upcoming games at (With system requirements)... This laptop has an Intel Core i5 430M, Dual 2.26GHz.
I'm excited to build one of these Firstly I need a job <3
Ordered my parts a couple hours ago. I can't wait till Wednesday.
