Apparently an online British site was selling them a few days ago, I can't remember who though.
so any news as to how much p67 motherboards will cost?
Can't wait for newegg to stock them so the prices on older i5's will go down.

They are going to be doing the new product song and dance all during CES, with them launching on the 9th right when it ends.

500 dollars.
Enough to buy a 2500k and a nice mobo.
I'm quite confused. What are the new sockets, what market segments are they intended for, what features are going to differentiate them, and when are we going to see them available?
I have 1200 bucks saved up just for the 2600K, a mobo, new graphics card, and a new case.
wont be getting theese in norway for another two years to im just gonna go ahead and buy my new pc right now
Socket 1155 Motherboards on Aria now

import?
I'm quiet happy with AMD, the sockets are less confusing.

not really, if anything theirs are more confusing with the AM2+/AM3 compatiability, I can never remember if it's old mobos compatible with new CPUs or new CPUs compatible with old mobos and I have to check, I've made an incompatible build a few times because of this
[editline]2nd January 2011[/editline]
meanwhile intel is 1156=1156, 1366=1366, 1155=1155
So what would an i7 950 equivalent be in Sandy Bridge?

AM3 will wrk in AM2/AM2+ motherboards, sometimes a BIOS update/flash is needed. AM2/AM2+ CPUs will not work in AM3 motherboards.
fuck I just ordered mine
oh well

i7-2600K.
i7-2600K.
Except the 2600k would probably be much better, looking from the benchmarks of the i5-2400, which surpass the i5-760 in all ways, so the i7-2600k would be domination.
Yeah, but I still think that is an equivalent, since the other ones don't have HT and stuff.

Still though the performance per core of the sandy bridge series seem to very great. and since the 2600k is the only i7 SB (for now) it seems that intel is inferring that the 2600 is in a class of it's own.
The only thing that some people might not like about SB's early offerings is the maximum of 1333 MHz RAM, and that the HD 3000 is only for the 2500k and 2600k, because honestly, if someone will buy a high-end CPU they would also be a higher-end GPU, leaving the HD 3000 unused and simply just a markup on the processor
