The problem with releasing jailbreaks nowadays is that there are very few exploits available, with virtually none in boot1 / non-patchable areas. If Geohot or iDevteam were to release the exploit, chances are it'd be patched in the next update, meaning it might, one day, become impossible to do without hardware.

...Or apple would get wise and make the hardware completely different with a second-gen release of the device. But that hasn't "really" helped them, since every iDevice has been compromised thus far. :laugh:
