Am I seriously considering dropping $1000 on monitors? Seriously, an UltraSharp U2713HM and an Asus VG248QE? That doesn't come cheap. Feel free to commence bashing my poor monitor choices.

Word of advice, don't destroy your old cases. I have in the past and I've regretting it since, because you never know when you need to assemble some spare parts or something and having a case, even a shitty one, can make a world of difference.

That's silly. Get the 27" and leave it at that, you're not going to be at a disadvantage in games because of it.

It's what I have at work, so I'm used to it. Although my work setup is 1080p+1080p+1280x1024, not 1080p+1440p+900p.

Maybe when I have a more stable income and permanent residence later this year. Right now I'm kind of in a shaky situation, y'know?

Forget spare cases. REAL NERDS have spare computers. I've got an Athlon 900 rig hooked up just in case both my laptop and main desktop die, so I'll still be able to do all my daily computing tasks.
