amd is enemy of my freedom nvidia is the enemy of my freedom intel is the enemy of my freedom help what do i put in my computer
Pretty sure intel's good? They have open source graphics drivers and stuff. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] ALSO AMD and Nvidia should standardize a GPU heatsink mount
This makes me very happy
it's rms, nobody's good
it's rms, nobody's good
The problem with RMS is he's one of the worst ambassadors for free software. If he didn't come across as an arrogant knob then I might listen to him or his cause more.
Those Asus z77 pro's at my store for 104.99 went from like 20 in stock to 2 at the end of day. Back to 204.99 now. Bunch of people got them for 64.99 too cause of the 40 dollar bundles
I don't think I've ever come across a Office Suite with a better ui/functionality than MS Office. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] Even 2003 is miles better than LibreOffice.
Replaced the thermal paste on my processor, computer still turns itself off. Looks like I'm having to buy a new cpu. Pretty much replaced every part in the computer troubleshooting this :suicide: Also, AMD heatsinks are bastards to fit!
honestly wordpad offers enough functionality for me i use google docs tho :v
I've yet to see a bit of free software with really great UI/UX design.
Firefox?
Firefox?
firefox looks pretty bad [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] That statement is such bullshit Amiga OS.
LibreOffice is just a massive splurge of functionality that 95% of users would never touch in their life, just look at the default toolbar, its a clusterfuck of useless buttons. IMO, Google Docs has the best stock layout, it only gives you what you need.
Office 2003 is a bit of a clusterfuck when it comes to this:
2010 has a great UI I think.
It looks nice on a 1366x768 display. On a 1024x600 system, I find Office 2003 suitable.
It doesn't have all of that enabled out of the box, love or hate ribbon, it sure keeps things tidy and manageable.
I suppose it depends who you are, I like to have the things I use commonly on the screen to reduce clicking, so the libreoffice interface in good for me.
I like ribbon because it's consistent and makes sense.
LibreOffice Writer looks like poo compared to Office 2010 and 2003.
LibreOffice Writer looks like poo compared to Office 2010 and 2003.
Why are the buttons in fuckhuge mode though
Why are the buttons in fuckhuge mode though
My install had that by default, dunno why.
2013's UI is amazing, Using office365 is amazing also
I was using OneNote 2013 today, it was really lovely to use.
I was using OneNote 2013 today, it was really lovely to use.
Whenever I hear that I just have that fuzzy feeling getting a tablet just for that. But Argos just happens to have a full HD camcorder from JVC, £120 is a fucking bargain. Either that or another laptop battery.

Not sure what performance under 7 is.
didn't we establish long ago that open source projects can't into design [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] and those that can are either not used by anybody or get hated by everyone
WHEN IS THE MEGA64 LIVE STREAM??????? i like never catch it
I wanna get those pens that wirelessly digitize your writing and upload it to a note system. OneNote I think supports it, I forgot the name of the pen. I want that for class since I could organize so much better.
http://www.amazon.com/Livescribe-Sky-Wi-Fi-Smartpen-APX-00011/dp/B009FU2AW2
That looks fat and uncomfortable.
They had one of those clip-on ones but they're not that common anymore.
That looks fat and uncomfortable.
liek ur mom huehuehue im so funny [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] Though to be honest, I never get the point of these
Absolutely disgusting, it would be slightly forgiveable if Eclipse was actually any good, which it isn't.
How did you get it to look that bad. Yea, I saw it on Gizmodo months ago, do you guys have any experience with those kinds of things?
