Linux Mint 8.
That's a distribution of Linux. Pick up a dictionary sometime.

Got tired of my RSS feeds, they made it look cluttered and restricted my choice of wallpaper. What's a good, free, offline newsreader that looks nice and is pretty fast, I don't want to lose my beloved news entirely.
Spent a few hours tinkering with my .conkyrc until I got it the way I like it. I ended up re-writing it from scratch. It was tricky getting it to show my battery correctly, but I figured it out on my own, since Google was not much help. I also got it to show on all 4 desktops, and got rid of the dropshadow that made it look awkward.

Holy shit why I am I saying this but I do agree with pixel heart linux mint 8 is pretty awesome but he is still a moron.
Now the image has actually loaded I can see it doesn't look as bad as it usually does. Not as good as it could look, I've seen far better looking linux desktops, but for pixel heart, it's fucking godly. But that's like saying you're pleased when solid shit comes out of a dog's anus instead of diarrhoea.

It's supposed to be one of the best noob friendly distros, yeah. Desktop still looks good for pixel heart, although he's done marginally better.
Snip.
ARGH
Don't save large images in PNG format you absolute pillock, it makes them fucking huge, and your crappy desktop isn't worthy of the quality it provides anyway. Also, what the FUCK are you doing with your background? Stop using pictures you took with your fucking PHONE as a desktop (I can only guess as to what the picture is of since it's loading so fucking slowly), and at the very least use one that's the same goddamn aspect ratio as your screen for fucking fuck's sake.
http://wallbase.net/
USE IT.
In the time it took me to type this post less than a tenth of your image has loaded. Reupload it in fucking JPG.
And why is your taskbar green? Why is your background, despite being of a nice ass, so ugly? Why is the weather widget you're using fucking suck so much? I can forgive the desktop icons, but it's almost like you're intentionally making it suck.

Dude it loads in about a second, get off dialup, we're not in 1990 any more.
In fact, here are a bunch of ass wallpapers, in your native resolution, that don't look like shit.

It decided to stop loading, refreshing the page made it work again. When my browser refuses to render someone's picture because it's so obscenely huge, it's time to change the fucking format.

Are you a moron? It's fucking 1388kb, that's about 4 seconds of loading at an average speed, it'd load before you even scrolled down that far to view it.
And way to go, you linked him to a bunch of much shittier wallpapers, OMFG TEH QUALITE IS NOT GUD, you're the one bloody complaining about filesize.

Opera, while being a great browser, has some kinks that need to be ironed out. namely, it seems to get overloaded quite easily, although refreshing the page fixes it usually. Still, 1.3mb is an obscene size for a picture of that size. Regardless of any argument about filesize, it's still a fucking eyesore. Now I'm going to bed before I get completely incoherent.

1.3mb is not obscene, if you know Opera has kinks, WHY BLAME THEM ON THE IMAGE, and why do you care about his wallpaper?
Go be an immature brat somewhere else.

what the fuck
Those images, regardless of the composition of them, are at the very least the native resolution of his screen and therefore don't look like complete shit. If I actually spent more than 2 seconds looking for a wallpaper I would've found something better. Shut the fuck up. Also parts of your post make no sense.
Honestly no idea why the filesize is so big *COUGH*GENERICMONK*COUGH*

Hey, when I posted that I assumed the image was still loading, albeit slowly, since I was aware of the fact that it was a PNG and therefore pretty damn big. I was not aware, however, that opera had simply stopped rendering the image. Perhaps my tone was not apologetic enough, but I was apologising for mistaking the image not rendering properly with an obscenely long loading time. So, I made a mistake, and made a big deal out of it, my sincere apologies etc etc. My point still stands that his desktop is pretty gly though, and yo really shouldn't use pngs for large images anyway, it's not really necessary.
Perhaps a simple dumb rating would have sufficed. :frown:

From the 1/10th of the image I could see it looked like it was taken with a phone, being the optimistic, logical person I am I automatically thought it was probably a picture of his dog or something that he took with the best camera device available, namely his 2005 era phone. Obviously I didn't stop and think people might be thick enough to actually search for something to use as a wallpaper on the internet and not use a wallpaper that at least fit their aspect ratio. So, being me, I assumed it was took with a phone. That, or upscaled the fuck out of.
(Apologies if I sound defensive, i'm not, It's a side effect of trying to explain what I was thinking when I was typing something full of rage while incredibly tired. Nighty night)
Or you could have read his post "Its a low-pixel count image, so it's fuzzy."

No, 'a low pixel count image, so it's fuzzy', refers to the background, which is a piece of shit, and should not be allowed to grace anyone's desktop. You're getting things confused, dear.
