Because XP is far better than Vista.
Windows 7 is better than XP (at least in most people's opinions), but it's also quite expensive so not everyone can afford it, maybe?

I used Vista. Performance for me was equal to that of XP. The only time it was slow was in Beta. (Or before the reset, that shit will make you furious). So just because your dad didn't like it or you heard about it being slow, doesn't make it slow.
