fg is your friend [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] Eg. When you ^Z a program, fg will return it
BOOYAH! FUCKED IT UP AGAIN. Was editing files, hit Ctrl+Z instead of ctrl+x Fuck. My. LIFE.
See, this wouldn't happen if you used a real editor unlike nano/vim/emacs, use nano/vim/emacs instead.
fg is your friend [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] Eg. When you ^Z a program, fg will return it
Well, that's helpful... now that I closed VirtualBox. I have an old craptop(800 Mhz processor, 256 mb of ram) gonna put arch on that i guess [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline]
See, this wouldn't happen if you used a real editor unlike nano/vim/emacs, use nano/vim/emacs instead.
I was in nano...
See, this wouldn't happen if you used a real editor unlike nano/vim/emacs, use nano/vim/emacs instead.
Quite obviously, it does. Although I think vim has an option to ignore it and I'd assume emacs does too.
The Galaxy can go a week without charging if all you do on it is Text and make calls.
I forgot to add, the LG Phoenix goes that long as well, but if you want it to play games expect some lag.
Also that Eg. wasn't unintentional; Another example would be that you launch a program in the background to begin with and then bring it to the foreground with fg [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] :ninja:
Doesn't happen to me in nano either. Weird I guess.
Quite obviously, it does. Although I think vim has an option to ignore it and I'd assume emacs does too.
Downside is emacs isn't a viable editor for the install. I use emacs on my installs though.
I forgot to add, the LG Phoenix goes that long as well, but if you want it to play games expect some lag.
Who plays games with phones anyway
I was in nano...
That was editor war parody.
:ninja: again
Downside is emacs isn't a viable editor for the install. I use emacs on my installs though.
You horrible being :saddowns: [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] I just got :ninja:'d when trying to note I got :ninja:'d
:ninja: again You horrible being :saddowns:
How am I horrible?
emacs
imacs
imacs
A mac.
emacs
Atleast I'm not using gedit anymore. :colbert:
That's not true, my iPhone, prior to jailbreaking, would last me 48 hours of semi-constant use.
That's weak as fuck compared to featurephones and dumbphones. You can get a Galaxy S2 to last way over a week, but you literally cannot use WiFi or 3G at all. Oh and try to keep the screen at the lowest brightness. Actually it'd be better if you don't use the screen at all.
My Galaxy has gone for a week, not the S2, the Galaxy, with Wifi on when I'm at home, highest brightness and as long as I only make calls and texts, It stays on the same charge for a week.
It shuts down WiFi when the phone sleeps. It wakes it up for the few seconds it needs to for syncing, but that's not too often.
No luck is needed, everything is going to be fine :3:
He's installing Arch. The one binary distro that issues kernel panics out of the box. [sp]OK, that's anecdotal evidence but still[/sp]
My idiot friend is convinced that his iPad is more powerful than my gaming rig. Apparently the iPad can play COD: Blops at "Xbox super settings" on "ultra 1080p resolution" with "smooth frames" according to him.
wat? How would he even....
I installed Lion on my older iMac today and find it pretty nice. It's no gigantic upgrade, though the new features are pretty handy. Mission control is great and might actually get some use, compared to Flip3D on Windows. Also installed rainmeter on my laptop and desktop, which should help me keep organized.

The options were AMD, Intel and Nvidia. How the hell can you get that wrong? The options were ISA, PCI-Express or PCI-eXtended. Again, how do you get that wrong?
