I just wonder what will the next Mac OS be and why will it be the most advanced OS ever [editline]27th July 2011[/editline]
Overall, Apple doing this is a dick move, but I'm not surprised by it - Apple's always been dicks.
On the other hand they seem to largely serve hipsters. We all know how mainstream backwards compatibility is.
I just wonder what will the next Mac OS be and why will it be the most advanced OS ever
Lion will probably be the last named after a cat.

Actually, why don't I just see which flag the author has :v: [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Make that "For internet browsing". Because it's actually not too far from the truth, considering it is a pretty advanced OS for internet browsing.
macs suck so much they can only browse the internet can't do other shit LOL
macs suck so much they can only browse the internet can't do other shit LOL
I don't irrationally hate macs. I just don't like their pricing. That, and it's pretty much what Goz3rr's macro was getting at.
Realize that a Mac is a PC.
Obviously you know what I mean. I am referring to a computer running Windows when I say PC.
Realize that a Mac is a PC.
We do NOT need to have this argument again.
We do NOT need to have this argument again.
But where else would we get content from? Besides, Mac Vs PC arguments are always so much fun...
So I switched from XP over to W7 last month after 4 years of XP usage. At first, W7 felt like an utter cluster-fuck, but now if I were to install XP on a VM I would hate it. W7 just feels so much better.
Avast! + MBAM + Common Sense 2011.
This helps a lot too.
they should install some lightweight linux distro on their old computers it would be cool if schools just use linux and open source software on their computers, would save money too, not having to buy tons of windows licences [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] ninja'd!
My school just pirates Windows, we get the message it isn't valid every time we start a computer there.
I will shit my pants if they release OS X Penguin.
But, don't OSX versions go by cats? Off Topic: Penguins are my favorite animal.
Macs ARE PCs
No. Personal Computer ⊇ PC Personal Computer ⊇ Mac PC ≠ Mac Or, in less mathematical terms: A PC is a type of personal computer. A Mac is a type of personal computer. A PC is not a Mac.
Yeah let us not argue about Mac vs PC, kind of stupid if you ask me.
No, Gman, in the wider sense of the term. It's still a personal computer. PC usually means (meant?) IBM PC -like computer. It was the dominant (only?) PC available and it was literally named PC so it was just called PC. All these other manufacturers then started copying IBM PCs because they were kind of modular (still are nowadays) and eventually it came to where it is now. Here's the catch: Technically now that Macs are compatible with IBM-compatible PCs, they are IBM-combatible PCs and may be called PCs as much as they may be called Macs. Therefore, Macs are a subset of PCs. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Someone check my facts for me please, I'm working on memory here.

I believe BIOS is one of the few things that separates Macs from completely IBM-compatible devices. Then again, aren't SSDs technically IBM-incompatible, too, as well as all sorts of GPUs :v:

(I don't know these things).
Well, I'd assume none of the original IBM PC boards had SATA I'm bad at knowing things
