I actually don't have nearly that much porn. Hell, I think if you packed EVERYTHING together, it might reach 10GB, but even then, maybe not.
I'm just famous for it because I have a dedicated porn server. Which, until recently, had a 20GB hard drive, which also had to hold a few dozen SNES roms, a DOSBox partition, and a full OpenBSD desktop install.

The FTP server i set up and handed some 2gb accounts out to FP could count as a dedicated one, since its mostly porn on there.

Why would you need a CD drive in a NAS?
Why would you need a CD drive in a NAS?
It can rip DVD/Bluray directly to the harddrives. Or i can use it as network drive to install OS's on systems without optical drives.

Booting from network drive?
are you fucking kidding me :v:
Well, I call it that, but it's more of "general Samba server / backup desktop / retrogaming machine".

I just had to re-install all of my USB controller drivers for some ungodly reason. After my brother put my PC to sleep, or so he claims, the computer turned off. When I booted it, the keyboard and mouse weren't working on Windows itself, but worked everywhere else. Turns out Windows has somehow corrupted all the drivers for my USB controllers.
Keyboard navigation is fun! :smithicide:
My dad was looking for my iPhone on the router's control panel. He clicked on an unknown connection and noticed it says MAC address: "*****" and he said "oh there's your iPhone".
I wasn't sure whether to hit my head on the desk or shoot myself.
Also, at dinner, he stated that I know as much about computers as he does.

Coincidentally, I've both fractured my skull and shot myself. [sp]hence the username[/sp]
I wouldn't recommend either.
bbgun doesnt count
I got hit in the leg once at a shooting range, a misfired .22LR round was being improperly handled and I took a ricochet
It wasn't too bad, they lose a lot of kinetic energy when they hit the concrete and I was wearing jeans
bbgun doesnt count
it really was a bb gun btw
Ugh, I can't fucking fall asleep
How is ascii spelled? My teacher spells it like husky.
Pronounced, you mean?
A-S-C-I-I, to be strict, but I guess it kinda sounds like "husky"

"As-key"
Edit: http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/audio.pl?ascii001.wav=ASCII
Yeah, like that, but slightly less robotic.
How is ascii spelled? My teacher spells it like husky.
Uhh 'ascii', unless you are talking about the phonetic spelling. In which case I have no idea.
How is ascii spelled? My teacher spells it like husky.
ask-e if you mean pronounced
And this is just the English pronunciation. You can go around saying it in the way that feels natural when talking with people who speak the same language as you.
[editline]30th July 2011[/editline]
Personally I usually just pronounce it in the manner it would be pronounced if it was a Finnish word.
OK, this is just pissing me off.
I've got a relatively minor problem with my GPS unit. Nextar's website is shit, and their customer support borders on the illiterate. Here's the email exchange:
I'm experiencing some problems with my Nextar 43NT. Namely, I lost the
original map SD card, and I'm trying to replace it. I already have an
SD card with sufficient capacity (I had been using it for the MP3
functionality of the device), and it should be simple enough to just
load the appropriate map files onto it instead.
However, I am completely unable to find the files on your website -
there seems to be nothing even related to this anywhere on your site.
No updates, not even the now two-years-old original map files. I found
an offer to sell me the Canadian maps, which is useless as I don't
live in Canada, but that's it.
Naturally, my GPS unit is now practically useless without the map
files. Would you please send me a copy, or a link to wherever on your
site they're located?

Dear Customer
The SD Card with Maps are not replaceable. We do not sell these to the public. Your unit is not compatible with the map updated software. So we do apologize for the inconvenience but we cannot replace your SD Card with the mapping software it originally had.
Sincerely,
Nextar Customer Service

Well, apparently whoever answered wasn't fully fluent in English, or wasn't fully versed in how their product worked, so I sent another:
I am not asking for you to replace the card. I already have an SD card
with sufficient capacity. All I need is the data to load onto it. The
original data (as of April 2009) would be fine - I do not need the
latest version if it is incompatible.
Again, all I need are the files to load onto it. This won't cost you
anything - just send me a .zip with all the files that need to be on
the card for it to work, I'll put it on my own, and the problem will
be solved.
This should be a very simple thing - all of your competitors have them
easily accessible on their sites, and I can't imagine why Nextar does
not.
Three days later, having received no response, I send them another one:
Are you going to at least dignify me with a response, or should I just
assume that you're not interested in helping customers?

Thank you very much for your latest reply . We are very sorry
but there are no firmware or software downloads available for
your unit. Since you lost the SD card , it can not be replaced
and again there is nowhere to download any software or firmware
for your unit . The 43nt is not an upgradeable unit . There is no way
to update it or replace the SD card or download any software to a blank
SD card in order to help you with your situation. We are very sorry
but there is nothing we can do to help you with your problem.
Have a wonderful day! Thank you for your continual business!
Sincerely,
Nextar Customer Service

Well, that pissed me off, so I just fired off this one:
I am afraid that answer is *completely* *unsatisfactory*. Unless you
can give me a real, technical reason why such a thing is impossible,
or you can explain exactly how you lost the source files, I am going
to be filing complaints with any organization that will listen. I'm
sure the Better Business Bureau will be interested to hear of your
incompetence. As will many online review sites.
This is, in all honesty, the most pathetic thing I have ever heard.
You obviously, at one point, had the data files. They are, equally
obviously, stored on the SD card, as the unit will not function with
the SD card removed. Finally, the unit is obviously upgradeable, as
you offer to sell map packs for Canada.
Perhaps you should escalate this incident to the next level of
support, as I'm sure this problem is not unsolveable. I mean, pretty
much every single one of your competitors could fix this in seconds,
merely by pointing me at the appropriate URL, or, failing that,
sending me the files as an attachment. If they don't give level-1 CSRs
access to the files I need, maybe level-2 CSRs will. Or level 3. Or,
if necessary, just put me in contact with one of the engineers - they
could probably find the files in under a minute, and have the entire
problem solved in less time than a regular coffee break.
Yeah, I'm probably getting a bit rude with them. I almost added a section about looking for a lawyer, but I decided not to. But seriously, pretty much all their competitors have this sort of thing on their websites, easily accessible. Unless they somehow lost the map files themselves, there's no reason why they can't just send them to me.
Anyways, I'm off to find a torrent or something that has what I need. And maybe find a way to sneak Eddy Zheng onto the No-Fly List.
My Mother stopped using Firefox last year, but I got her to use it again on her new net book! Awesome.
