OK, this is just pissing me off. I've got a relatively minor problem with my GPS unit. Nextar's website is shit, and their customer support borders on the illiterate. Here's the email exchange: Well, apparently whoever answered wasn't fully fluent in English, or wasn't fully versed in how their product worked, so I sent another: Three days later, having received no response, I send them another one: Well, that pissed me off, so I just fired off this one: Yeah, I'm probably getting a bit rude with them. I almost added a section about looking for a lawyer, but I decided not to. But seriously, pretty much all their competitors have this sort of thing on their websites, easily accessible. Unless they somehow lost the map files themselves, there's no reason why they can't just send them to me. Anyways, I'm off to find a torrent or something that has what I need. And maybe find a way to sneak Eddy Zheng onto the No-Fly List.
Rip them a new one.
bbgun doesnt count

it really was a bb gun btw
there is just a slight difference between the average "pea shooter" unrifled BB gun and a threaded high-powered pellet rifle, jammed and at a significantly higher than recommended pressure I had crutches for ~2 months plus a boot for another ~3 months plus a period of ~3-4 months that I couldn't run or do any fun athletic activity at all
pellet rifle I got hit with an actual gunpowder propelled projectile and I just poured some alcohol on it and went about my business
pellet rifle I got hit with an actual gunpowder propelled projectile and I just poured some alcohol on it and went about my business
At which point did you think of actually bandaging it?
well there was some gauze and tweezers too
My keyboard is falling apart. Any good keyboards with USB2.0, wired, and media controls? If the G510 wasn't around a $100 I'd take it.
it would be tough to find anything like that in a keyboard with good switches and a good matrix
pellet rifle I got hit with an actual gunpowder propelled projectile and I just poured some alcohol on it and went about my business
I've been hit with a .22 long myself and I didn't need crutches and shit like this other guy. I don't know what kind of over protective environment that is. I mean, I've broken bones in my foot without wearing a boot and crutches.
I got a pretty gross fracture in my leg when I was little, never went to the doctor for that of course now my leg makes a cracking noise whenever I stand up but that's not the point
yesterday i got into an argument with a 13 year old mac fanboy got to the point where he said that macs have HD moniters how well did i do?
Arguing with a 13 year old? Well, I guess you are probably close in age so it isn't that bad. But usually, arguing with younger kids is just pointless, it isn't their fault they aren't well educated about this stuff. They are just starting to learn about it all.
yesterday i got into an argument with a 13 year old mac fanboy got to the point where he said that macs have HD moniters how well did i do?
And what else did he say?
I'm 16 and it was inevitable since he started first. We were on a yacht and it started somewhere like this "So are you gonna use that laptop?" "Yeah." *He pulls a Macbook from the bag* "Oh its a Mac." "Yeah they so much better than shitty PCs" His friend agreed with me on alot of points. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] PC monitors break down in 2 months.
It probably isn't his fault. At that age he is probably just going along with what his parents tell him.
yesterday i got into an argument with a 13 year old mac fanboy ... how well did i do?
You've already lost. Just walk away like a sensible human being.
His first computer was a PC apparently and he's rich as fuck. I guess the rich part is to blame. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] Walk away while in the middle of a huge river on a yacht? Good idea.
When you get older, you will realize it will save you a lot of time and make life a lot easier to just nod and go, "Yeah." I found that it doesn't matter if you convince other people that you are right in normal conversation. Just nod and say something positive or change the subject.
or be entirely negative and shun humanity
Changing the topic: Out of curiosity, I checked out Origin. Didn't actually install it, obviously - I'm not stupid - but I checked out their selection. The first thing you'll notice is the huge amount of expansion packs and DLC. Simply huge. They have 128 "games" listed for the PC. I went through them all, pulled out the stuff that's just Collectors Editions, expansion packs or DLC. That brings it down to 71 games, six of which are preorders. And that's generously considering FIFA 12 to be a distinct and separate game from FIFA 11, FIFA 10, and FIFA 09. So, immediately, Origin has major selection problems. They don't have many games, period. Hell, I own more games on Steam than Origin has in their entire selection. Curiously, while EA has removed many of their games from Steam, Valve has not reciprocated. Counter-Strike, Portal 2, both Left 4 Dead games and the Orange Box are all available. However, they aren't available for download, only for purchase and shipping. Origin is less a competitor to Steam than it appears - relatively few of their games are available for "immediate download". Their prices actually are competitive for Valve's stuff. L4D, CS:S and L4D2 are all $19.99 on both services. Portal 2 is $49.99 on both. The Orange Box is the sole counter-example - $29.99 on Origin, $19.99 on Steam. And they seem to match prices on other games as well, as far as I can tell. But overall, they just don't seem to have any good reason to use them for PC gaming. They have a few exclusives, for the time being, but I doubt they'll keep BF3 and ME3 off Steam for too long. They don't have enough games, period - even using a generous definition of "game", they've got a tenth Steam's selection. GOG has them beat pretty handily, as well as Direct2Drive. All of which offer the benefit of actually letting you download their entire selection, instead of just some select games. They don't even have the excuse of "we're focusing on one genre". They've got Left 4 Dead sandwiched between Harry Potter and Littlest Pet Shop. They have, almost word-for-word, Steam's genre categories. They might have been able to be worthwhile on consoles, but their selection there is EVEN WORSE. Their entire DS catalogue is FOUR GAMES - three movie adaptations and one Sims game. Steam launched with more games than that all the way back in 2003. There's pretty much no excuse for having a library that thin on launch. The freaking Virtual Boy launched with more games than that. Overall, yeah. Origin is useless, the sooner EA realizes it the better.
Absolutely massive amounts of content from our subforum
i would make you a build but since you're in europe I don't know what retailers are decent over there. but with a budget that huge you might be able to get like two graphics cards and an i7. read: a fucking beast computer. and i don't even think intel has processors that fast, i7's are the best processors out right now but they run at low clock speeds. phenoms are inferior but much cheaper but they run at like ~4 ghz
I cannot stand people this clueless giving such terrible advice.
Long paragraph of entirely true text
They'd have to make another agreement with Valve to get BF3 and ME3 on Steam, an agreement that doesn't give exclusive DLC to certain retailers. I have 2 problems with BF3 at the moment, and the game not being on Steam isn't one of them My first problem is that the game is 60$, there's no reason for a PC game to be 10$ more expensive than usual. Especially considering these aren't boxed copies, it's pure greed. My second problem is the fact you have to join a server from your Internet browser, that's just useless. Why not code a server browser (a good one, not the one from BC2) and just integrate it into the game? I'm not too sure about that one though, maybe it's just for the Alpha. Other than that, I don't see why people are jizzing all over the game in the state it's in right now, it's filled with bugs and the "but it's alpha!!!!!!" argument doesn't really hold up considering the release is in ~4 months. If it doesn't get pushed back, it'll take quite a few patches to get a stable and working game...

Hey guys, should I make a thread in the Google section about Chrome extensions? I think it would help people find useful extensions in one central place without dealing with everything on the official site.
I will give Shadaez .41 Bitcoin when my mobo arrives, :toxx: You heard it here, folks.
Oh come fucking on. Nextar just sent a response to my last message (see earlier post):
Thank you for your reply . As stated before there are no replacement SD cards available and there are no software or firmware downloads available ether. You do not need to respond to this email . We very sorry but as stated in the previous emails there is nothing we can do at this point to replace the mapping that you lost. Have a wonderful day! Thank you for your continual business! Sincerely, Nextar Customer Service Customer Service Representative #sh8387
Well, now I've got a few things to do. First, sign up for as much porn and spam using the email "service@nextar.com" as possible. Second, see how hard it is to trick the government into labeling someone a terrorist. "' OR TRUE; INSERT INTO tbl_nofly VALUES ("Eddy", "Zheng"); --", anyone? Third, look for someone who can get me started on hacking the thing and loading new software onto it.

I have a simple question that you guys might be able to answer. When you pay for a game on steam for say, 50$. Is that price with or without VAT? Since a normal price in Sweden for a game is about 70$ incl. 25% VAT. And the cheapest you could get a way with a game for is about 50$ incl. 25% VAT. Also how much is the VAT for a game in the US?
