I have a simple question that you guys might be able to answer. When you pay for a game on steam for say, 50$. Is that price with or without VAT? Since a normal price in Sweden for a game is about 70$ incl. 25% VAT. And the cheapest you could get a way with a game for is about 50$ incl. 25% VAT. Also how much is the VAT for a game in the US?
I'm not sure what a VAT is but if I personally buy something from steam with Canadian dollars I pay no taxes when normally if I go to gamestop I'd have to pay 13% on the dollar. It's because steam is US based so all the prices are in USD (also our dollar is worth more then theirs.) All taxes are included in the US you pay what you see on the price tag this is so people don't have to figure out how much it'll cost.

This might not be the right thread to ask, but how easy is it to build a new computer? Scale 1 to 10, 1 being legos.
This might not be the right thread to ask, but how easy is it to build a new computer? Scale 1 to 10, 1 being legos.
3 or 4 depending how careful you are. But it is just like lego, except it all being 100x more expensive.

I was reading a bunch of threads in the Suggestions/Ideas section on the Steam Users' Forums. Is EVERYONE in there retarded?
:v:
Very glad I got a 2500K, never actually looked at much comparissons, but I knew the CPU was really good, but damn, that's hot.
This is a useful chrome extension Thin scroll bar. Changes it to about 3 px opposed to the monstrous current one. Posting here because I've always hated the scroll bars on everything
My netbook loves you
I'm crazy, I like the big scroll bars. For my desktop, dinky little scroll bars on 1920x1080 looks ridiculous and is eye straining to me. For my netbook, my click accuracy on that tiny little touch pad is terrible so I need it to be bigger.
People actually use scrollbars? What is this, the 90's?
Well excuuuuuse me if my scroll thinger on my netbook's trackpad doesn't work & the scroll wheel on my desktop's mouse is beginning to break
Thank god I can actually remember what Ninite is called nowadays. :v: Otherwise I would have had to use a tonne of installers and shit.
Well excuuuuuse me if my scroll thinger on my netbook's trackpad doesn't work & the scroll wheel on my desktop's mouse is beginning to break
On my netbook I always use the arrows to scroll, much more convenient
Thank god I can actually remember what Ninite is called nowadays. :v: Otherwise I would have had to use a tonne of installers and shit.
Ninite is fucking miracles. Truly one of the most incredible things ever developed.
Our DRM is a success! We get our money and players don't get to play! Seems to be Win/Win to me! Also, What a waste of my 6000th post.
there'll be a crack out in less than a week, doesn't really bother me
there'll be a crack out in less than a week, doesn't really bother me
God bless the crackers. Allowing me to play my games without inserting the CD. Good times.
Good Developers add options like BFBC2 does. Love you guys, DICE.
I wish there were more good PC developers, instead of developers that badly port over XBOX 360 games to PC.
If you don't know what it does, it gives you 2 (3 if you count steam) options for activations. You can either choose to use the DVD when you start the game or Use an online activation. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] Automerge
I wish there were more good PC developers, instead of developers that badly port over XBOX 360 games to PC.
Ever played Saints Row 2 on PC? If you don't have a 3.3ghz CPU the game runs faster than normal to keep up It's optimized WORSE than GTA IV (Has to be be an achievement) A lot of missions crash at random And the most lovely part is the steering When you hit left, the wheel doesn't start turning towards the left, it instantly snaps to the furthest it will go

GTA IV uses 80-100% of my i2500k @ 4.2GHz, and it runs with 40-60FPS Saints row on the other hand only uses like ~50% and it runs like shit most of the time. It's like it's too lazy to run properly...
What the FUCK.
Only way to fix it is to install a mod that slows down the game for you And since it's different for everyone, you need to manually tune the time option This involves a stopwatch, a drag race, and a mod that makes the car drive at 5km/h If you don't get to the first checkpoint in 1:43, you need to exit the game, change the setting, then load it back up and start all over again :suicide:
