Damn, how do you guys have so many spare PC components lying around? All I have is an old 80 GB IDE HDD, a motherboard and PSU off an old DVR and a very small case fan.

Also, if anyone wants it, here is a code for the Minecraft free trial from the Humble Indie Bundle.

That sucks. Oh well, anyways since we're on this topic can anyone explain to me how slow motion works? Wikipedia doesn't explain it well enough for me.
So other than "obtaining" Vegas is there a better alternative?
I don't get what you mean. In slow motion, the recording FPS is higher than the display FPS.
what happened to that vps all of you were giggling over

I got hungry and ate it.
I got tired of with getting spam comments on my Wordpress site (Even with Recaptcha) and having to update so frequently so my site isn't taken over by Russian terrorists, so I asked a friend who does webdesign for advice. I wanted something that was easy as hell to install and maintain, so he pointed me to something he uses all the time: GetSimple.
So you extract it, visit the admin page and then answer some simple questions. Done. No fucking with databases, it just works. I'm pretty sure my mom could do it. Also, according to my friend, it's not very complicated to create themes for it.

Thankfully he didn't point you to Wix. My "friend" designs websites on Wix and charges ungodly amounts for them. Guess what happens when I visit one...

It's outdated. You should find one that says "There's no place like ::0". Or "There's no place like 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0", if you don't like compact IPv6 addresses.
I had a 50% discount on it. Worst $250 I ever spent. It renders shit so dark it's hard to see shit.
If you're rendering straight from vegas then you're doing it wrong.
Fuck me, my second hard drive (which had 300GB of games, Steam among it) is having read errors and there's tons of bad sectors on it, so I'm frantically trying to dump as much stuff on my external hard drive before the hard drive goes kaput completely.
3MB/s transfer speed. Max. That's it's good time, too: it generally drops down into the 1.5MB/s or 2MB/s range. And I have about 70GB more that I have to transfer over. If my math is right, that's another six and a half hours before it finishes copying everything. I'm not staying up until 3 o'clock in the morning to wait for this thing to finish copying.

My hard-drive didnt even give me warning signs.. The only one i got was "Windows could not start"

Yeah, that happened with my old computer. I'm lucky that I'm even able to get anything off this at all; the only things that were corrupted was my programs (roughly 300GB worth of games, Steam or otherwise), my screenshots folder and about 12GB of some unconverted FLAC music.
It's a two-year-old WD Caviar Green, so I've got another year on it's warranty. Hopefully WD's RMA process is as good as I've heard.
Question for you gurus.
I'm looking into a tablet, and I've compared four models, the iPad2, the Motorola Xoom, the BlackBerry PlayBook, and the HP TouchPad.
Now, I would really like a tablet because we have one laptop that we "share" with me, my brother, and my dad. I mostly just would use it for browsing the web and working in MS Office (or whatever the tablet supports).
I compared them all, and the Xoom seems like the best. I did a comparison between the 32GB models of each.
Three things I want to know. One, am I overlooking any comparable tablets? Two, what would be my best option out of these? Three, would it be worth investing in a 3G/4G plan for it, or should I just stick with WiFi?

Is there a reason you compared those particular ones? I am just curious if it was price, specs or anything or just the first four you thought of.
The only thing I could add is look at the Galaxy Tab. I got to see one earlier today and they are actually pretty nice, however I am not sure if that is the same as the ones you are comparing.

Some labels and artists have chosen not to sign with Spotify. The same with ACDC among others. If you have the songs you can import them locally anyway

Okay so I haven't defragmented my PC in about 2 months due to extreme procrastination. It turns out the Hard Drive only built up about 6% fragmentation. What do I win?
