I understand saying "my Touch" (or my nano, classic, etc) or "my iPod" because they know you're referring to your iPod Touch, but when did it suddenly become "iTouch". You don't call an iPod Nano an iNano do you?
It's stupid and nitpicking to not like the term iTouch... If someone says iTouch you know they are talking about an iPod touch, or else we wouldn't have this argument. Because multiple people said, "since when did people call the iPod touch an iTouch" implying that they knew it was the ipod touch they were talking about. Also, people have been calling the iPod touch an iTouch since its release, just deal with it. There are several products that people use unofficial names for and there is never any problem. It is easier than having to say iPod touch every time. tl;dr version Who cares, it is a name that a product is commonly referred to. You know what product it is referring to, I don't understand the problem.
iTouch little boys edition
I think I may go find some spare parts and just stick them together for a frankencomp. Todo, find a motherboard.
Copycats :v:

I gave up on mine, winduurs 98 kept shitting itself on me.
I got one when it first came out, and no one I knew called it an iTouch. First time I heard it was in 2009 I think But would you call an iPod Nano an iNano!?! So why called it an iTouch!? I just don't understand that
Alright, I hope this makes sense. The ipod classic was released, I don't believe it was called the ipod classic at the time. But they came out with the ipod shuffle and the ipod nano and everything was fine. The ipod series was referred to as "ipod -----" something like that. In 2007 the iPHONE was released. If you notice, it was released with the name i - product. Like an iMac. Well, the ipod touch was released in 2007 as well. People saw that they were calling the iphone an iphone so using a common naming scheme for the new ipod that was released people commonly referred to the new product as the iTouch. As you can see there is a common naming scheme when saying iTouch and iPhone. It is just the letter i with an identified after it. It also helped that the iPhone and the iPod touch were similarly designed. Before the iPhone there wasn't any product relating the naming scheme to the previous ipods. Basically, people saw a common look between the iPhone and iPod touch and decided to use a similar nickname to refer to the iPod touch, coining the term iTouch. That is an educated guess, there is no proof of the above. However, it makes sense as to why people started using iTouch and NOT using iNano and iClassic and iShuffle. Also, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1154083?threadID=1154083&tstart=0&messageID=5452631 People are referring to the iPod Touch as the iTouch in 2007 in that thread.
why are you nerds so uppity about people calling it an itouch anyway? stop spergin so hard
I got Half life to work on the frankencomp! While in the game it suddenly made an illegal operation but kept running :v: I recorded it, and the computer is apparently camera shy or something, because this is the first BSOD I got. Good timing though!
wow, i just found my old CPU (dual core, 2.1Ghz) and motherboard. TOO BAD I LOST THE DDR2 RAM and sold my old 3850HD
If I could teleport shit to you I could give you some of my DDR2 sticks. And my GT220 turbo derp!
I'd make a frankencomp, I have some floppies around, Windows 95, motherboard, RAM, an old GPU, the works. Only problem: I don't have a processor. I guess I could make a Pentium 4 frankencomp but that'll probably run Crysis and Windows 7 so there's no point.

Relating to the Vegas discussion a while back, I have a copy paid for by every taxpayer in the US.
Cool, the Windows 98 CD came with some vidya gaym demos!
that game was fun
Also, I just realized that the CPU wasn't originally passive. The fan is missing, I don't have the fan though...Guess that's why it has frozen two times. :v:
So I had this socket 478 2ghz celeron lying around that was originally from my server (which is now rocking a pentium 4) and I decided to do something with it. I always wondered what that hole in the heat spreader on all the 478 processors was for, it's almost as if they intended it for what I did, being so neatly positioned. Anyways I took a 3.5mm drill that hole to it and a dremel to the pins on the back and here's the result: [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/SDC10745.JPG[/thumb] It got all scratched because I wasn't careful when drilling, but considering it's gonna be on a keychain it's gonna get even more scratched in the future.
