Can someone find me a proper port of this program? Every time I search I find workalikes that can only read from one file. I won't have that.
Don't have another PC. No one in my family too, it's either a laptop or Mac.
Check your temps, My old P4 used to BSOD all the time in Summer.
Turns out the CPU was getting to 110C.
Guys is 5.349 to 5.4 volts on the 5 volt rail bad?

Everythings gonna blow up. Evacuate your house now. It's too late.
In all seriousness, it's not safe to vary more than 5% +/- from the actual voltage level, so on the 5V rail that would be 4.75V-5.25V.

Yes, I'm afraid your right. Falco, I'm sorry for your loss.

Crap really? I just swapped my PSUs too. Both were in this range according to Speccy (I don't have that meter thingy).
If you just bought it, return that shit.
I bought it like in December. Wouldn't it be a motherboard problem since after swapping PSUs (one is from original build, second one is from December) the voltage on 5 volt rail is the same?

No problem here? At all?
Ok I'm just gonna reinstall a game and play. If it BSODs I am really gonna have to take it into a shop, because over two dozen BSODs is enough.
:suicide:

All they will do is re format and charge you $500 for a window re-install.

It's not GeekSquad though
i broke my gtx 460 overclocking
time to play indie games until I get a job.
RMA..?
If no chance for RMA, try baking it.
Don't forget to marinate it in thermal paste overnight

It would taste better in some kind of oil.
How does one break a videocard when overclocking? Did you stop the fan or something?

I find it hilarious how I just ramp everything up in Afterburner and play some BFBC2 and barely test it at all, while you break yours :v:.
Welcome to this week's Thursday to Sunday (at least for me).
I've been waiting a year for this. Shit is going to be greatttttt.
I'm going as well, will I see you there?
RMA..?
it's a broken mosfet, I don't know how to get replacements or have the equipment to really do the repair... I've never soldered something as tiny as it is.
[editline]1st August 2011[/editline]
it's apparently a common problem because some manufacturers think it's hilarious to not add heatsinks to things that need heatsinks!

i hate you

It's not a big deal really I still have my 2500k onboard which isn't that bad apparently, and Derpmeifter said he'll send me his (broken) 6850 (5850?) that apparently somehow only works for certain games, but I'm hoping I'll be able to figure out the problem.
[editline]1st August 2011[/editline]
err my pc keeps randomly turning on and off now, im starting to think it might be the PSU, it's a corsair cx500 and it was running a 2500k 4GB RAM a 460 (OC'd a bunch) and it just shut down after running furmark for a while. After I removed the card I recall having difficulties getting it to start, too, and I heard a high pitched sound that got louder when I pressed and held the power button - I did try my GF's 4850 though and it seemed to work fine. Guess I'll try the 460 in her PC tomorrow, I was goi ng to today but the cable management is too good in it and I didn't want to have to rip out some more plugs from the zip ties. Think my PSU might be broke, too? i know that's under warrenty, at least.

How exactly did it happen? I would like to know so I can avoid the same happening to me.
