[QUOTE=Goz3rr;31513843]Oh god what [img]http://gyazo.com/c882fbedcf71486f68e8102bc30a14cb.png[/img][/QUOTE] Kinky.
Oh and: [quote]0.008 km^3. At 64 atoms per cubic millimeter (four per millimeter), that is a total of 512 000 000 000 000 000 atoms. If each voxel is made up of one byte of data, that is a total of 512 petabytes of information, or about 170 000 three-terrabyte harddrives full of information.[/quote] How about empty space? Empty space doesn't need to store data, and models can be hollow. In reality it will only be 100 000 3tb drives :v:
Awesome, my BF3 thread made it on there!
I just scored a Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker system for 20 euro :D
[QUOTE=chipset;31512711]I make an effort not to help computer illiterates at all because they are never grateful, there's always some complaint or something I did wrong or they get angry when I ask for payment for my work or when I bring news that they must spend money on new parts. Whenever money gets involved, illiterates who probably feel confused and intimidated get suspicious and think I'm trying to scam them. This has ruined more than one friendship, whenever someone asks me for computer help I just tell them I'm busy.[/QUOTE] Yea, I stopped doing it and it's much better. It's always, "Can you do me a favour?", not "I know you've done this about 15 times before for free and I know I keep doing the exact specific thing you don't me not to do, but I was an idiot and did it again, now could you come over at my convenience and fix it for me, tomorrow for free. Also I have a test tomorrow at this specific time so I need to come immediately even though I've had this problem for the past 6 months and never mentioned it. THANKS! Laif Savur lol" It was mainly this girl with an ancient dell laptop that insisted on me continuing to fix it. But she wouldn't drive to my place or would pay for it.

My friend and I are arguing over Consoles and Macs being for hipsters. He fights back saying neither are and that Linux and PC are for hipsters. I told him to go look at people that play consoles and use Macs instead of a Windows PC for gaming and everything else. He then says "Exclusives" I reply with, Halo? GoW? Both shit. He then goes saying that both are fun even though he's never played either. Then goes on about saying how PC is for hipsters and that we're the hipsters.
he's never played halo?
[quote][Redacted]: umad. [Redacted]: windows 7 is 16 GB [Redacted]: max OSX lion according to what im reading is a 4 GB download, and "we believe you should plan on needing at least 8 GB of drive space for installation" [Redacted]: Also, -real- hipsters would use Linux. FlakTheMighty: Linux isn't underground FlakTheMighty: ANd it's mainstream to nerds [Redacted]: uh [Redacted]: oshit im stupid Hipster: A person who follows the latest trends and fashions. [Redacted]: hm FlakTheMighty: Gee FlakTheMighty: You are FlakTheMighty: I follow no trends! FlakTheMighty: FOR I AM FlakTheMighty: A NERD! [Redacted]: So then a hipster would be a PC user FlakTheMighty: PC isn't a latest trend or fashion [Redacted]: yes it is [Redacted]: shit is moving to PC FlakTheMighty: Um FlakTheMighty: Gaming has always been on PC [Redacted]: one huge difference, idiot [Redacted]: PC is getting popular [Redacted]: again FlakTheMighty: Not really [Redacted]: nope [Redacted]: Pc gaming as a medium is getting more accessible and more cost effective, with way better graphics than consoles can manage now. [Redacted]: Also, PC gaming is becoming more socially acceptable. [Redacted]: As in, you're not auto labelled a nerd [Redacted]: Also, with the raise of Steam, it's becoming easier to obtain a game. [Redacted]: (note: if you go to your local gamestop, you'll probably see a very small selection of PC titles comparatively) FlakTheMighty: Reason, Gamestop is only for Consolefagsd FlakTheMighty: fags [Redacted]: Also, indie games are made primarily for the PC, due to budget, and indie games are some of the most innovative games coming out [Redacted]: yet, you know, gamestop is a major distributator? FlakTheMighty: For consoles FlakTheMighty: There's a reason [Redacted]: for everything. [/quote] Most of those I can reply to with "Nope." [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] MY MERGE! [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] [quote][Redacted]: as pc games begin to get bigger sections in retail stores, popularity generally increases [Redacted]: see: Origin is EA's first major (EA Downloader doesn't truly count as it was a download program) effort into PC Gaming and getting a bigger market in it, this is simple proof that EA can easily see that PC Gaming is exploding in people playing, and going to continue to do so FlakTheMighty: Uh FlakTheMighty: Origin is shit FlakTheMighty: It has literally [Redacted]: Doesn't matter. FlakTheMighty: 10 games [Redacted]: 10 games? FlakTheMighty: The rest are DLC and stuff [Redacted]: it has EA's entire catalogue [Redacted]: i dont think you know how many games EA has published [Redacted]: there's a reason it's a major publisher [Redacted]: But still, Origin is proof that big companies see PC Gaming as importnat FlakTheMighty: We had this going on in CIPWTTKT before [Redacted]: important8 FlakTheMighty: We checked [Redacted]: then you guys are idiots. FlakTheMighty: They don't have the entire cat. [Redacted]: They have most. FlakTheMighty: It's mostly DLC [/quote] I've been friends with him for a long time, he's never acted like this.

Really arrogant PC haters are not worth arguing with in my opinion. [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] "[Redacted]: Pc gaming as a medium is getting more accessible and more cost effective, with way better graphics than consoles can manage now." Ok never mind beat his ass [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] Also just because there aren't many PC games in Gamestop doesn't mean it's hipster. That means that Gamestop's customer base is generally not looking for PC games. That's what we have Steam for. By his logic, since there aren't any console games on Steam that means console gaming is hipster. Kind of a bad metaphor but that's my take. Woah actually the more I reread it sounds like he's proving that PC gaming isn't hipster
they don't sell pants at game stop so pants are hipster
Flak I think your friend got the terms "hipster" and "hypebeast" mixed up

So my dad's business laptop broke Friday. My dad asked the local computer guy for a recommendation for a replacement. It was meant to be used for my dad's business and he only ever does paperwork and light internet browsing on it. The computer guy recommended my dad an ASUS G74Sx. Gaming laptop, i7 2630QM, GeForce GTX 560M, 1TB hard drive. The fuck? That guy has lost all credibility with me, especially with other mishaps in the past with my old desktop. I tried to talk my dad out of getting it. He got it. [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/emoot/suicide.gif[/img]

Tell him I'll trade a gently used Asus M50 for it. Much better suited for his purposes, right?
What game should I get for $10 off Steam?

I have to explain to my mother frequently how to use the digital cable box (Turn on the TV, hit input to get input 3, hit the button for cable). She wants to watch Better of Ted, which I have on my home server. I'm going to somehow teach her how to use XBMC on the old Xbox, oh boy. Out of sheer boredom I installed Steam and got Counter Strike: Source on my Macbook. How come no games show up in the server list?
I bet it's one of those $.40 expansion packs for a game you don't own
It's Limbo :3:
Also how do I adjust the sensitivity of my mouse on Mac? It seems as if adjusting mouse sensitivity ingame only affects the trackpad.
