When people say "Kick the guy out that has 500 ping he's making the server lag"
Better than "This server lags so much today thanks to those three damn players with 120 ping"
I always get worried when there's an hour without any posts in this thread
HES NOT MAKING THE FUCKING SERVER LAG LEARN HOW THE INTERNET WORKS
My brother even fucking thinks this and forces me to kick my own players off my own server (homehosted) to stop it from lagging or else he restarts my computer.
He still thinks that I'm wrong and that I'm stupid for thinking that's not how it works when clearly he knows less in IT than me.
You do know that's true right?
If the server is using a dialup card from the 90's :v:
My pocket gets really nice and hot when I use it as a hotspot :3:

It also sucks the battery dry
The funny thing is, if one guy is lagging in Starcraft 2, it actually does lag the game for everyone.
I'm now hosting a Minecraft server for a couple of guys I know that used to go to my school (I hardly know them but they're all pretty chill), set them up with bukkit and everything because they lost a lot of their last map because some bastard set everything on fire.
Running on an Optiplex 755 under my bed :pcgaming:

in other news I got my 36"x48" azeroth poster framed, got it home and noticed that I don't have anything to hang it up with
Just got an apparently broken Sony Vaio from my neighbour for setting up her computer. The guy she took it too said the motherboard was fucked...... When her daughter dropped the laptop the RAM chip had popped out of its slot, thats it. It needs a new keyboard and a replacement clip for the screen, but apart from that its fine.

I smell a Hackintosh notebook
You must mean 1280x800
Probably, I only glanced at Dxdiag, I'm reinstalling XP now.
You must mean 1280x800
1024x800 does exist, it isn't common (thankfully) but you will still find it every now and then.
I think Warship is right, it is a 16:9 display.

16:10 if 1280*800.

I'll double check the resolution when windows loads. Regardless, it's quite a nice computer for nothing.
Well, 2 hours sorting her desktop and printer out.
I doubt his webcam deficiency
Well I do have a webcam, but it's from 2004 and bloody impossible to get working on Windows 7.

It isn't common? It's the standard resolution of 90% of lower end netbooks.

They don't outnumber other kinds of computers by any means. That is, you'll only find it fairly rarely considering all computers.
I have yet to see a netbook with a larger reso, though.
It isn't common? It's the standard resolution of 90% of lower end netbooks.
That's 1024 x 600.
lol, I can't even imagine how a non-widescreen netbook would look like.

long
And the keyboard :byodood:
Speaking of laptops...
My aunt gave me a Toshiba Satellite Pro to fix. 1 GHz P3, 256 MB RAM, 15" screen. As I posted a few pages back, Ubuntu somehow destroyed the BIOS.
I just ordered a parts machine for $60 off eBay.ca, which is fine except for a half-broken screen. Since the laptop we have has a good screen, I'll just swap it over to the parts machine and install Windows XP FLP, which should handle the light internet browsing, word processing, spreadsheets and email she's going to do.
So I heard you like wide

oh god
1600x768
Is that a laptop? Looks like a tiny keyboard with a monitor slapped on.
Y'know, one of those Logitech tiny ones you're supposed to use with media-center-ish comps?
It's a Sony Vaio P netbook/laptop.
Netbooks are laptops enough

How the fuck is someone meant to read the on screen text?
vaios are just like macbooks, really, you pay for the brand
And for the inverse size, apparently.
