Well, good news, Farnsworth.
I figured out how to fix the mouse problems I've been having. In case I haven't explained them, occasionally the mouse will "freeze" (doesn't track movement or button state changes). It's gotten bad enough that I've begun to notice it in Linux as well, so it's not a driver problem.
I look down and I notice the mouse plug on the KVM switch I use is angled slightly. So I wiggle it around a little, and TADA - I notice it moves around quite a bit.
So as soon as portage finishes updating everything I'll plug the mouse directly into the computer. I'd do it now but it's a PS/2 mouse.

something that if I managed to catch the middle of would have resulted in a really fucking huge "NOBODY CARES" image.
uhhh...
ok, I'll just pretend it didn't happen
It involves 2 bottles of tequila, 3 broken condoms, and one long night trekking through the Sierra Nevada.
That's all you need to know.
Just got my 6950 the other day. Running it with my 9600GT for dedicated physX.

Won't the 9600GT bottleneck it?
Won't the 9600GT bottleneck it?
He's using is as a dedicated physx card. The 6950 doesn't even do physx.
I looked at replacing the SATA faceplate thing, I can't even get the bastard off my HDD as it is mounted onto the logic board somehow, rather than just sitting over the top like it should. God dammit Hitachi. Thanks for the offer though, I'll probably be investing a new HDD at some point anyway, this one seems fairly slow, not sure what happened to it.
The ghetto rig fell apart this morning, but the replacement is working pretty well so far, over 7 hours of constant usage and it hasn't failed yet.
Cant you just butcher a SATA cable and solder it directly to the PCB?
Do any CIPWTTKTers know of any alternatives to TVCenter? It's just a horrible program, and I wondered if there was anything else I could use with a PCTV Nanostick.

Are you serious?
Are you serious?
Yes. he is.
But that much for a 30" monitor. Whoa.

I mean, I can understand when you have to. No wait I can not understand why you would buy a monitor the price of a new top of the line computer.

I Googled TVCenter and it came up with something in Arabic.
What is it?

Still no reason to pay that kind of money for a monitor.

It's the software for PCTV Nanosticks and othersuch tuners. It's generally a horrible program, won't tune in even though I have 75% signal, crashes often, and is full of bugs.
Try Windows Media Center?
Still no reason to pay that kind of money for a monitor.
30"
Twice the resolution of Full HD 4.1megapixels. So much room to work. Full HD video while also having windows and panels around it.
Effectively perfect viewing angles.
10.7Billion Colors instead of 260,000 colors on my current TN panel. Makes a huge difference when editing my videos and pictures in photoshop.
The price isn't for the size, it's for the amazing picture it provides. This aint any normal 30" monitor. It's not just 3" larger than some asus 27"

It's one of the cheaper 30" IPS 1600p models.
Try Windows Media Center?
I would, but whenever I open the bastard program it starts messing up my MP3 ID tags, which is pretty damn annoying. :v:

Unless it's like 3840×2400 or something.
Try Windows Media Center?
This. Worked fine with my Pinnacle TV stick.
Unless it's like 3840×2400 or something.
Which would be awesome. Too bad those are like 10 thousand dollars.
Unless it's like 3840×2400 or something.
Wouldn't that make everything unbearably tiny?
Wait, does it only run at 1920*1080?
This. Worked fine with my Pinnacle TV stick.
If you happen to know of a way to stop it from interfering with my tags, I'll use it. Before I had a large music collection I used to use it quite often, though I didn't have a Tuner at that time.
Wait, does it only run at 1920*1080?
No, It is 1600p aka 2640x1600 or something like that.
