Hey guys, I really want to reformat, but first I want to find a nice IDE for C++. I am way to used to Dev-C++, but it isn't supported and everyone is jumping on me for it. Anyone know of one that is like Dev-C++ but is supported and isn't code blocks? (By the way I hate Release and Debug builds why can't I just build goddammit)

So, I open up a random closet trying to find a webcam, but pleasantly enough I find: - Turok - Turok 2 - Doom 64 - Star Fox 64 - GoldenEye - Duke Nukem 64 - Nintendo 64 Power Supply - Nintendo 64 Controller All that I'm missing now is the A/V stuff for it, but I do have an old and broken Super Nintendo that I know has a compatible A/V cable for it. I just have to find that as well.
Visual Studio?
No. VS is slow as crap and doesn't always even compile GCC-written code. Doesn't support #pragma once, the greatest preprocessor directive since #include. I'd like an answer, too, since I still use Dev myself, but the glitchy GUI is annoying me.
Visual Studio?
Anything else? Sorry, I might be too picky for a beginner. [editline]21st August 2011[/editline]
No. VS is slow as crap and doesn't always even compile GCC-written code. From my thread in Technical Support: [release]Alright so I took it to the shop I think under a week ago. Forgot to tell you guys because of school and stuff. Anyways the guy did a free check up on it and as he listened to the solutions that we tried he said that there was nothing else he would really do other than: 1) Swap out CPU (He gave me some free thermal paste so I could swap in my old Athlon II) 2) Swap out Motherboard (gonna have to get a new one or return) 3) Run 1 memory module at a time to see if they are alright (even though I ran Memtest, he said it wouldn't hurt). So first thing I'm gonna try out today is running one memory stick at a time. Do I just take one out and start it up? Nothing else I have to do or take into consideration? [/release] [editline]21st August 2011[/editline] So yeah how do I run with one memory stick?
Doesn't support #pragma once, the greatest preprocessor directive since #include.
Er, I could've sworn it does.

You can also check out netbeans, i've heard some good things about it.
I pity my fathers old work laptop. A thinkpad with 2 or 4 GB RAM. It was suffering when he was running 4 instances of Visual Studio. And it was running poor XP. Atleast his new one is better with it's 16 GB RAM and dual 160 SSD (if I remember right) and runs Windows 7.
Is that still going? It seemed pretty lame after I left the original reddit thread.
Now it's dying. There was no progress since I made that thread Now there just waffle and "Wafflebro" jokes and Rule 32 of "Kate"
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/d9x1s805.aspx ?
Huh. I distinctly remember it not working when I tried it. Of course, that was years ago (VS2003 Express, I think), so it might've been added.
Visual Studio 2010 is amazing
