[QUOTE=Warship;31875448]UGH, fucking hate my schools internet, now I have to type this post all over again.
Anyway, the command I'm looking for printed an ASCII logo of the distro you were running and everything. I just can't remember what it was called.[/QUOTE]
archey?
[QUOTE=Warship;31874189]I wonder how processing power it takes to drive the google car...[/QUOTE]

Google is testing AI driven cars in the US.

I think I saw a video of one being tested
It was driving in circles with a very loud siren blaring out the top

Didnt they do it for a year without telling anyone?
Pretty sure they did the sneaky bastards.
Anyhoo I like the video, shows the car braking for idiots walking out in front of it. Even a jogger.
Looks like it's....

ok that was bad too
I hate my GPU, I cut my finger with one of the fins on the cooler.
Fuck you GPU!
At first it was making sounds and now I cut myself, fuck it.
Atleast it is not making that sound now.
Later today, I will help one of my friends to get Crunchbang Linux onto his netbook. He currently has a very shitty install of XP, and he thought my netbook (Which also has crunchbang linux) seemed cool. Mind you, he's never used Linux before. This is the same friend that is saving up for a new computer that I can build for him so we can play GTA IV all day erry day. :buddy:
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
His current main computer is some shitty single core dell :v:

I followed a link from some page.
Now I can't remember I found the link, I'm not even sure if I saw it on Facepunch or if it was Reddit.
But anyways, the link was the Wikipedia article on Capacitor plague.
There's a picture of a PSU with leaking capacitors.
It's kind of disturbing to see.

The only piece of electronics worthy of such punishment are Apple products.
Funny, I keep seeing stuff about MagSafe chargers, some apple thing they decided was better than a regular plug
This is the second result on google images

This really tells me something about the reliability of these :v:
Holy shit, did that guy drop it in acid or something?

Better yet, why not just program them to obey natural selection?
[QUOTE=Warship;31874825]Using Linux also helps
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
Speaking of Linux, what was that command to get system info in the terminal? (Debian)[/QUOTE]
I can't play Minecraft on Linux, it seems laggier to me. That, and the mouse keeps loosing focus on the window.
If anyone has a bloody idea how to somehow bridge together a VLAN with a LAN in VMware Lab Manager, I'd appreciate it.
The idea is that every student has their own VLAN to fuck about in, but can also access the Internet to download software packages etc.
The only way I've managed to do that is have a VLAN, set that as primary NIC and then set the physical network as a second NIC, but I don't know what that'll do when there's 50 people on the resource pool, each with 2 Windows 08 R2 servers and one Windows 7 Professional machine, playing around with DHCP, DNS and AD.
I feel like throwing this old Maxtor drive into a sea of dicks
it's an 80gb IDE drive that I have in my "server" and for some reason it started to sound like it was taking a giant shit on itself and it just went quiet, and now it isn't working at all. it's a bloody good job that I have pretty much everything synced through dropbox
I also have no other drives that aren't SATA, so RIP Dell Optiplex G270 :saddowns:
Whoo, managed to break my GPU drivers by quit accidentally in the middle of it, now i have a 800 X 600 resolution on a 1680 X 1050 screen, and now i need to re download the latest drivers because i deleted the other ones.
to myself :downsbravo:

Will 15.6" screen look much better at 1920x1080 compared to 1366x768 or is there little to no difference?
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
Gaming wise, will it look better? Performance is not problem
There is quite a difference. 1366x768 is pretty damn small.
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
In fact, some netbooks have that resolution, and they are like 10 inch
But 22" 1920x1080 and 15.6" 1366x768 have same DPI. Does that mean 1080p is too small for 22 inch?
Uh, what?
Well you said that 1366x768 is damn small for 15.6" right? 15.6 1366x768 would make 100 pixels per inch, same as 22" 1920x1080. Does that now mean 1920x1080 is damn small for 22 inch?
Not really, you rarely see anything under 20" with 1920x1080 resolution.
Seriously, the holodeck in Star Trek.
There's an episode in which the Doc is kidnapped on the holodeck and Data and Geordi lose her.
It's a pretty small room, how can you lose someone in there?
Presumably if one person stood at one end of the room and the other person started walking away from the first person, you'd hit the bloody wall rather fast, the room can't just grow magically on the inside while remaining the same size to outside of the room.
