Okay, wtf... Ever since I reinstalled windows it seems like my audio can't go as loud. Everything is connected properly and all volumes are at maximum but it's so quiet. Damnit I want to listen to Lamb of God really loud...
?

The problem with watching Star Trek is, you get really, really good at predicting things, so surprises aren't surprising anymore.
The problem with watching Star Trek is, you get really, really good at predicting things, so surprises aren't surprising anymore.
Suprises such as this? http://potpiedeluxe.com/files/2010/10/13c7595d36b44b63.jpg.jpg
I have the most fucking shitty luck ever. I get my new case and I get get my motherboard that I RMA'd and guess what? My fucking PSU is dead now.
Suprises such as this? http://potpiedeluxe.com/files/2010/10/13c7595d36b44b63.jpg.jpg
Believe it or not, I knew that link wouldn't work.
Believe it or not, I knew that link wouldn't work.
well the attempt was made.
Which are...?
Do you really need to know? Now butt out.
I saw ".jpg.jpg"
yeah the link is a bit werided, but its an actual meme.
Remember when graphics cards (even the great ones) took up only one slot, and you didn't have to fucking cut a hole in your case to make it fit?
Remember when graphics cards (even the great ones) took up only one slot, and you didn't have to fucking cut a hole in your case to make it fit?
Yup, I was actualy quite supprised how small my Nvidia Quatro was when it arrived. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] We actually had to grind the lower HDD bay out of my brothers computer to fit his GTX260 into it. Somehow I think the warrenty is void, but hey, the computer was free after all.
Has anyone posted the Raspberry Pi playing Quake 3 yet?
I'll take 6 of those, thank you.
I thought that was a bad framerate until I found out what the Raspberry Pi was. Do want.
"Oh god, ONLY 20fps?" until you find out it's going to cost $25.
And unless I completely missunderstood be basically said it was running on 4xaa and max settings at 1920x1080.
"Oh god, ONLY 20fps?" until you find out it's going to cost $25.
When these come out I'm totally buying one, looks like they'd be fun for experimenting with.

Mac OS error messages in a nutshell
You could build yourself a nice cheap tablet computer with one and a touch screen.
It's not going to be so cheap once you add in a touchscreen, speakers (If it has an audio chip already, can't remember if it does), a wifi dongle, battery and some sort of casing. Still, the uses for this thing are limitless. Besides being an awesome device to use to teach programming, you could use it for hardware firewalls, file servers, web servers, some sort of wearable computer, a robot controller, webcam servers, home automation controllers or some sort of information dashboard for your TV. Considering how capable these things are, you could probably get a halfway decent computer lab that could run off of one PSU, which would make thin clients practically obsolete. Hell, at $25, it's around the price of an Arduino. If you can get some basic serial / IO out of this thing, the entire electronics DIY community would simultaneously blow their loads.

It only requires a low volage power supply, so the kind of batteries used in model aircraft or RC cars would do, no? And I believe Maplin does plastic casing for projects. It may be still relatively expensive, but you could have a hell of a lot of fun building it. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] Still, the screen will be the expensive bit.
My homework for the week-end : - Make a build list for a computer Wow. They even give us 2 weeks to do it...
My homework for the week-end : - Make a build list for a computer Wow. They even give us 2 weeks to do it...
What's the budget? Or are they just asking what you "need"?
What's the budget? Or are they just asking what you "need"?
No limit, they give us a motherboard (LGA 775 of course) and a case :v: Since newegg.ca is a bitch and doesn't carry the Q9xxx series anymore, I went with a E8400 and a decent cooler to do some EXTREME OVERCLOCKING
