because why the hell not
Yeah, but couldn't you just go with RAID6 and give yourself some extra space?
Yeah, but couldn't you just go with RAID6 and give yourself some extra space?
RAID51 sounds more badass :zoid:
Yeah, but couldn't you just go with RAID6 and give yourself some extra space?
I was just joking :v:
Earlier today, one of my "friends" was having trouble running programs at good speeds. Naturally, I had to make sure he was intelligent enough to understand the answer: Me: Why don't you try ending the "explorer.exe" process? (With extreme sarcasm) Him: Oh, it's ok, I use Chrome anyway. After me and several people laughing for hours, he still probably doesn't get where he went wrong.

His mistake thinking explorer was IE is perfectly normal. It's people who think they know stuff but actually don't. Say a PS3 fanboy Who is adamant that nothing apart from a PS4 is more powerful.
New Youtube design, really liking it actually: http://www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda
The only gripe I have with the new layout is the videos on a profile aren't arranged by post date.

wow, I feel like a complete idiot. A few days ago I couldn't update Windows, I couldn't open half of the webpages I went to, Firefox wouldn't open half the time, Steam was fucked up. I tried everything, reformat, reinstall drivers, etc. I finally brought the PC down to the local small computer shop. When I showed the guy all he did was set the calendar to the correct date and everything works perfectly now.

Just received my mom's netbook It's a MSI Wind L1350 with Windows 7 starter (don't kill me, it was cheap and I'm probably going to install Linux on it soon) There's so much bloatware on this thing, it's like manufacturers have this competition for who manages to fit the most bloatware on a 250 GB hard drive. They even added Norton :froggonk:
Was there a way of setting the Win 7 clock to use UTC reliably

I searched Google and, after trying many solutions, I saw that someone said to check the date. I was like "How the hell will this work?" but tried it anyway. Then I felt dumb. :saddowns: [editline]9th July 2011[/editline]
It's interesting how much a wrong date setting can fuck up programs
Makes you wonder if Windows is pre-programmed to break after a specific date
Mine broke on May 21st. :saddowns:
I wake up this morning to be greeted with "O HI SUDDEN WEEKEND CAMPING TRIP LOL SRRY." I hate it when my parents spring shit on me.
I wake up this morning to be greeted with "O HI SUDDEN WEEKEND CAMPING TRIP LOL SRRY." I hate it when my parents spring shit on me.
But... camping trips are fun. Whoever at MSI thought it would be a good idea to pack 30 GB of crap software with every Netbook they sell deserves to be shot. I would seriously pay 20 additional bucks for a fucking Laptop that has a clean Windows install, they should offer that as an option.

I don't want to have to pay for an OS I'll never use, since I'll end up replacing the bloat filled install with a nice clean version (and upgraded to Ultimate as well, which mainly makes it look more fancy)
I wake up this morning to be greeted with "O HI SUDDEN WEEKEND CAMPING TRIP LOL SRRY." I hate it when my parents spring shit on me.
how will you live without flak for the weekend? :(

Otherwise Bad
how will you live without flak for the weekend? :(
Oh boy here we go again.
I wake up this morning to be greeted with "O HI SUDDEN WEEKEND CAMPING TRIP LOL SRRY." I hate it when my parents spring shit on me.
Camping trips can be fun, if you actually want to have fun with them. And not to be hint-hinting but some fresh air would probably be good for you (and 90% of the population on Facepunch).
Oh that's great, a brand new netbook that won't fucking boot after I removed some of the crapware they put on it. System restore won't do shit, I guess the display driver broke because I can still hear everything but there's nothing on the screen. You know what, fuck this. I'm installing GNU/Linux, Windows is being too much of an asshole. [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] GOD DAMNIT I told it to restore again and guess what It restored back to factory settings, all the crapware is back :froggonk:
now the question is why didn't you have it set to the right date in the first place
:pirate:
Camping trips are fun when the camping part is not the primary focus. Otherwise Bad
Exactly. When camping is the activity, it's depressing. When camping is simply the necessity for shelter = good.
Because I felt I need to contribute. My father (quite some years ago) insisted that I was the reason his gimmick internet radio/alarm clock hybrid stopped functioning because I meddled with the router and wouldn't let me touch the router for a year. Even though in the end I reverted everything to the backup :v: Oh and that time when he kept implying that all the downloading I did is what created the massive lag, even though I had no downloads active and there was practically no background activity.
