But what I'm wondering is, how much worse is it than the normal one?
Will I still get those sort of results?
What don't you get?
Just buy a tapping set (most come in sets with different sizes) an' some rod strong enough to be used as a screw, but weak enough so that you can cut it.
Are you saying that you expect performance beyond that of the GTX 460? That's how I'm comprehending, and I'm fairly sure that I'm misunderstanding it as well.
Just leaving this here.
Don't recommend you read this if you are susceptible to Mac VS. PC arguments. Thumbed for safety.

His closing argument:
[sp]"That's so stupid I won't even bother arguing with it. I'm speechless, just accept that Mac is superior and throw out your PC. You are the cancer killing the development of future technology you fat neckbeard."[/sp]
If I had a brain cell die every time a mac fanboy used a dumb argument, I have a feeling I'd be borderline retarded by now.

That'd have to be alot of mac fanboys. Naturally about 9.000 cells die each day.

No I'm not
Just under or a lot under I have no idea how big the difference is.

I know, it would actually imply that macs are even slightly popular too.

people who hate on macs mindlessly and for no reason are just as bad as the idiots who think macs are superior

Reminds me of:

somewhat.

you can get stock 460 performance with a 460 SE if you overclock it enough, so I suppose the SLI performance, when overclocked to 460 speed, would probably be what the graph says.
I've tried using a mac a couple times at a store, and I love how fast they are, streamlined, and the fact that they have nifty software installed on it. The app store makes it pretty easy to download stuff, and it's nice for media stuff.
That said, it's not worth paying $1000+ dollars just for a machine like that. I can install all the same stuff on a PC with a little extra work, and even then, I can customize it better to my liking. I know more about computers than the average apple user, so I could customize PCs to my liking. Apple computers are good for what they do. If you want to program, do a ton of customization, play games, or install lots of custom software, PCs fit your style. That's what most people on this thread do anyways. If someone likes to edit media (music, video, picture editing, professional design) and is willing to pay a lot more money, they may prefer a mac.
It's all preference.

Atleast then you retain control over your hardware.
i want to do this type of stuff, I wish I knew how to tap screw holes / had the stuff to do it, I'd have a gigantic heatsink on my GPU, a 212+ or something.
I wanted to do this since at my job when we throw out old systems each one has a big solid aluminum heatsink or a tower heatsink. I wanted to grab all of them and make a giant heatsink and mount it to a case for passive cooling.
LOL! Some guy just tried to sell me a pc based on the X6 1090T for 5500 euro.
Other specs, 6850, 500gb random sata drive (Hitachi or something), 4gb ram.

no
make a case out of them, attach heatpipes from CPU and GPU to case

Did you guys know that justin bieber's official video's actually have been of youtube for a day? Some random dude (iLCreation) decided to claim the copyrights to the music and youtube's default response is to remove the video and then start the investigation :v:
Retard slams the desk where my netbook is and closes the lid.
Dumb fuck should go away.
EDIT
Skype wont connect via school proxy.

Seriously, what are they thinking. The stretched image background for the chat, the horrible design...

Explaines why when I got home from college my sister started talking about how VEVO was hacked by someone and that JB and RB videos were removed by the hacker :v:
When I tried to tell her that no one hacked the accounts and that it was probably just a copyright claim she got mad

I just checked the source, they use css butalso have the whole webpage made with tables, while literally the first html lecture I had (today) had a big portion of the lecture solely about why you should not create your layout with tables..

Macs are entirely redundant, if you want speed and slick software installation, use linux.

but linux is for nerds who live in their mum's basements!!!! proof here
linux is superior to everything

if valve took the initiative to port steam to ubuntu even then linux gaming would explode

It's really tough for youtube. Do they assume the claimer is right and take down the video immediately, and potentially completely destroy someone's revenue for the month, or do they leave it up until they investigate and then have a legitimate claimer lose revenue from someone possibly stealing the video.
It's not balanced, but I don't think it ever will.

Linux is an entirely different can of beans, but we're talking about people that may not know the difference between a Gigabyte and a Megabyte. Linux is great, the only reason I'm not using it is because WINE isn't perfect.
