I think MacTrekkie had a bad break up or something up before his perma.
Wait no, he's still a FPer at heart so it wasn't a break up...something just as bad though.

Breaking his computer?
Welp, I just broke my Wifi adapter by disabling it. Clicked disable and then it vanished from the list and refuses to start up when connected to any pc
It hates me
Direct Ethernet connection to router master race.

I'm using that right now, But dragging 6 meters of cable through the living room is not really optimal

I always lift the edge of the carpet up and run it under.

It helps to have two 50m Ethernet cables too.
I could hardly leave them, since they were both £1 each 2nd hand.

The solution my father came up with is a bit funny. Rather than having a cable going throught the house, he ran it on the outside of the house from my sisters room to my room. Since she's got the better 3G connection in her room.
Holy shit I just got power back today, I'm in southeast CT. Are there any other CIPWTTKT'ers who've only recently got power back? I know that in some of the rural areas along the East Coast won't be getting power back until late next week.
uh, Blizzard support are dumb
my wow account got hacked and I don't have ID for the name that's on the account so they refuse to give it to me, so I asked them to cancel the subscription and I'll go play Rift instead and they basically just said "give us all of your completely incorrect information that has been changed by the hacker so that we can do that for you"

Well they are getting desperate since they've lost about 1 million customers since Cataclysm started. So of course they want to keep them as long as they can. Also Activision.
I doubt it was "hacked", you probably just fell for a phising scam
I really, really want one of those bloody hacking augmentations in me, right now.
Too bad they don't exist, fucking video games need to start being real.

I honestly don't know how it could've been stolen, I have an authenticator and everything.

Soon...
An Android enabled eye replacement would be awesome.
Browse the web and look at what you're doing.

I think it's mostly about intergration with the human nervous system that keeps us back. Since technology can already be as small as it needs to be for it to work otherwise.

I'd rather just have straight-up Linux on an ARM processor.
Hehe, I want a bionic arm that has an ARM processor in it. Hehehehehehehe
It would be an awesome tool to cheat at tests with.
Just being able to discreetly google something would be awesome.
A trickle of content

Windows 7 32 bit on 8GB RAM
What the fuck.
In my 10 or so years using Linux the only Kernel panic I EVER had was in a VM that wasn't set up properly. I don't understand how people can get a Kernel panic.

I had a kernel panic doing a standard update in fedora once but that wasn't really my fault. the only other one I ever had was me intentionally causing it
So I have two dell U2311h and recently I've noticed some ghosting. It's not much and I've been fine for the past 9 months or so but it's one of those things that when you notice it you can't un-notice it.
I've been thinking about eyefinity for a long time and this is the perfect excuse to finally buck up and do it but at the moment I'm poor, very poor. What I'm wondering is if I get a second hand trinitron or other high quality CRT, considering the differing aspect ratios would I be able to use that for eyefinity?

I'm still waiting for someone to create an android app that lats you take pics of math equations and solves them for you with the complete solution

Hmmm...
If it converts it to text it could just send it off to Wolfram Alpha, no?

Also, I'm back gentlemen. (but none of you really care :c)

Google Goggles + Wolfram Alpha, an interesting idea.

The actual math part shouldn't be too hard it would just take loads of time and testing to make.
The photo identification part might be tricky though but there's probably loads of software that can do it that you could base the app around.
All I REALLY want is a brilliant Camera app which actualy focuses properly and adjusts the white balance/contrast to what is under your reticle rather than the whole image, and a QR code reader built in.

Except I don't think goggles can interpret mathematical formulas and such. Can it?

No but it can recognise text, and shove that off to wolfram.

I don't think it can correctly format it in a way that wolfram can read though?
