Defeeeeensive.
It's just stupid that people have to notice "OH YOURE USING A DIFFERENT COMPUTER AND OS THAN ME" the constant flaming and arguing over an OS, or anything to be honest, is dumb. Also, what is with some of you thinking this is some secret special club and call people out if they post in this thread? who cares? it's a thread on an internet forum, get over it [editline]5th September 2011[/editline]
That's anton for you...
I thought we were done with this shit? are you trying to start an argument or something because you know I get mad when you do this? whatever
I don't know about you, but to me his comment read as "Why are you using a different computer than usual, I didn't know you had a Mac."
Yeah, that could have been, but wingless has gone off on me for using Apple products before and I assumed he was saying it a certain way. I was probably wrong, but my message above still stands

dear god no net for 2 weeks is bad help me dammit also got gifted a ipod shuffle what the fuck is this shit with itunes fgucking sack of shite
Forgot to tell you guys on Friday, in Web Design, the teacher was talking about browsers and mentioned Netscape as one of them. I raised my hand and said it was discontinued 3 years ago. Immediately, a girl in the front row says "No they didn't, I ordered a movie from them last night!".
forgot to mention, when I say without internet for 2 weeks, i mean its been 2 weeks so far, I might have to wait 4 or so weeks, probs more :crying:
Oh well, my Philips monitor is fucked for good, atleast I only payed £25, it's a bitch it only lasted 3 months though, but I suppose that's the problem with buying 25 year old displays. Commodore 1702, you're mine next!
Steam is a fucking steaming pile of shit! RAWAHAEHFSAASDasåfsød
Steam is a fucking steaming pile of shit! RAWAHAEHFSAASDasåfsød
I sense anger in this post
Steam is a fucking steaming pile of shit! RAWAHAEHFSAASDasåfsød
Steam's offline mode is a flaming hunk of shit, I mean, you have to go ONLINE to go offline? Fix your shit Valve holy jesus although other than that it's alright I guess
I don't know what you guys are doing but offline mode works perfectly for me. I exit Steam while online, I shut down my computer, unplugged the Ethernet cable, started it up, Steam asked me if I wanted to start it in offline mode and it just worked.
It's still better than GFWL & Origin, though.
Try turning on a windows pc that has been unused for 2 years Updates everywhere
At work sometimes we have some people who want an XP image, but they want it on their rather old system, so we can't use our preconfigured images. So we install XP from the disc, but for some reason my boss doesn't have a SP 3 copy of XP, but a original Xp Pro disc. Updates take roughly 6 days to finish. Because I keep coming back to it while it downloads like 500mb of updates each time.

A while back someone told me that Microsoft didn't have their own media player, so they had to use VLC. I may be thinking of the wrong person, but they later told a friend of mine that Russia stole their own territory from the US. I always find her whining about how the required school laptops aren't macs. I also took a film editing class that used Adobe Premiere, and most of the people there complained about how they couldn't use iMovie the whole time.
It's still better than GFWL
GFWL is the IE6 of DRM.
& Origin, though.
oh boy here we go
Last year I was in a photo editing class, everyone applied loads of filters and had generic "I'M NOT ALIVE, WITHOUT YOU" style text on it. [editline]5th September 2011[/editline] And they used Photobooth for part of it, best part.
-snip- actually noone gives a flying fuck
FUCKING FUCK FUCK! I've been without internet since Saturday, since my modem/router decided to fry itself. Tech support was actually pretty decent about it - they're shipping out a new one today, should be here tomorrow. Posting from a McDonalds Wifi, since I'm not hipster enough for Starbucks. Well, now to go catch up on 10 pages of CIPWTTKT and ~infinity pages of LMAO Pics. Plus all my webcomics. When I get my home 'net back, remind me to post about BUS242 again - maaaajor content.
I must have like 4 spare routers in the loft from each ISP we have been with.
I've got a spare router (it's normally acting as a Wifi extension for the North wing of the house), but it's the modem that I need. I'm not entirely sure how Verizon's system works. It's fiber-optic to my house, where it seems to be converted to coax cable (it serves TV/phone too), and there's a combination modem/router that converts the coax signal into standard Ethernet (and Wifi). It's that combination router/modem that's getting replaced - it's really messed up. No Wifi signal, it doesn't respond to DHCP requests, and it's apparently unresponsive from Verizon's end. Making it about as dead as dead gets.
One of my routers is a standard ASDL modem too, but I have another Netgear of a similar model except the modem is for Fibre optic (BT Infinity), however that makes no difference as it's acting as a Wireless repeater.

It does actually work, DHCP, DNS and all. But you can't get to the administrative settings from either inside the LAN or from WAN. A guy from his ISP called him and asked him to make sure it's turned on, and it was and it just wasn't responding.
No activation bullshit required master race
I'm not talking about the shitty iPhone activation just the SIM activation. If you don't tell the phone company that it's your SIM the thing wont work. My iPhone was automatically activated when the guy who sold it to me on ebay unlocked it.
